Possible to set quota in size and number of messages
Hello, I am using Dovecot 2.2.33.2 and am attempting to set quotas on mailboxes. I currently have the following: plugin { quota = dict:User quota::file:%h/dovecot-quota quota_rule = *:storage=10G quota_rule1 = INBOX/Inbox:storage=+30M quota_rule2 = INBOX/Trash:storage=+30M quota_rule3 = INBOX/Deleted Messages:storage=+30M } If I check the quota via Apple Mail

fts-solr indexer-worker connects to wrong solr host dovecot-2.2.4
Hello. We're setting up fts solr and want to have the solr server host be set per-user via UserDB. It looks like if a user connects and fts indexes mail, and then another user connects and indexes mail, indexer-worker is connecting to the first user's fts host: User1, hammer at rp-auth-test.com connects, does a SEARCH for the first time, indexer-worker gets UserDB settings and

Does domain quota work and how?

I ran a doveconf -n and it doesn't reveal important information like sql setup. I'll do my best to sum up the relevant parts below, anyway. But first I would like to know how the

how to disable quota for second namespace?
Hi all, I have a second namespace as archive, where no quota should be active (work with type = shared). But if I change the type to private the quota will allways count. My dovecot version is the 2.0.13. I have tried things like this: plugin { quota_rule = *:storage=500M quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=+100M quota_rule3 = Sent:storage=+50M quota_rule4 = ns=archiv/%u/:ignore } It's

Quota usage value shows 140% of actual disk usage
Hello everyone, Our server has these installed: dovecot-2.0.21-2.el6.x86_64 dovecot-pigeonhole-2.0.21-2.el6.x86_64 dovecot-mysql-2.0.21-2.el6.x86_64 ...and has been running for quite a long time, with several hundred domains and thousands of accounts on it. My colleagues reported that it's been showing quota usage values that are more than actual disk usage, so I investigated and found that

doveadm quota get doesn't recalculate quota (Maildir backend)
Hello, I've noticed that "doveadm quota get" doesn't recalculate quota if maildirsize file is missing for some reason. It just says quota is unknown, usage is 0. In contrast, vpopmail does regenerate maildirsize if it is missing. Reading the Maildir++ specification there is this part: ...If maildirsize does not exist, or if its size is at least 5120 bytes, recalculate

Dovecot 1.1 Quota Plugin Configuration?
With 1.0 I had the quota plugin set to allow some accounts to have no quota by setting their size (in bytes) to 0 (via mysql). Following the upgrade to 1.1 this no longer seems to work and has resulted in a lot of annoyed people having messages bumped :-( The config I have is as follows... quota = maildir quota_rule = *:storage=15M quota_rule2 = Trash:ignore quota_rule3 =

Dovecot 2.0.9 Quota Limit issues

Right now I'm only using global quota limits. Here is my quota setup: plugin { quota = maildir:User quota quota_rule = *:storage=3G quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=+100M quota_rule3 = Archive:storage=+1G

Opportunistic quota recalc
I'm switching quota backend to redis (from maildir++), so all my current usages are reset. I get that I can do "doveadm quota recalc -A", but it takes forever (and auth processes time out/crash). It would make much more sense to recalc the usage on login if the current usage is unset. Is there no way to do a recalc-quota-on-first-login? Thanks. -- Tom Sommer
