Backup of shared data-files
Hi Greg,
I'm assuming the reason for this was that Robert's answer pretty much
covered it. Most backup tools still in development, and I'm including
rsync here, do support extended attributes, so you're covered when it
comes to ACL. The main question becomes if you need the backup itself to
be encrypted, and if yes you might want to look at alternatives to rsync.

Yes, latest git version.
The logs show (as I read them) returned results - yet nothing shows in the
client. The logs look the same (with different numbers) when querying
"regular" folders - but results are shown in clients.

Optimal File Permissions for Shared Access Between Windows and Linux
Hi Rowland,
Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for not including the global
section in my previous message. Here it is:
[global]
?? min protocol = SMB3
?? workgroup = WORKGROUP
As you can see, there isn?t much in the global section.
To answer your question about the permissions on |/mnt/shared|, here are
the settings:

For my primary namespace this is working fine - thanks to the developers!
It also appears to work great for shared folders as well.
But my virtual folders aren't returning results - at least not to the
client. The logs show FTS Xapian opening several DB files and getting
results - but nothing is being returned to client. Is this a config
issue on my side or is this a current limitation of

Exclude dovecot-uidlist files from a Maildir backup ?
Hi,
I am using restic to backup my email (stored in dovecot Maildir format)
to Amazon S3
As each message is a separate file on disk, and those files don't change
after the email has been delivered and read by the user, the incremental
backup each day is fairly efficient as it only stored new mails.
However, the dovecot-uidlist files change frequently, and are often
quite large. The

Label axis with strings instead of numbers
I have created a bubble plot in R using the following formula:
symbols(Data$Day.Number,Data$Team,circles=Data$Total.amount, inches=0.5,
fg="white",bg="red",xlab="Day Number",ylab="Team")
The data set is called Data, and I have the columns Day.Number, Team and
Total.amount.
The data is plotting fine, but where my y axis should have the names of each
team,

Firefox 2.0.0.14
Hello,
I just installed Firefox 2.0.0.14 ontop of WINE .9.60 in Ubuntu Hardy

when I run the Windows version of Firefox. I just get a Server not
found page no matter what URL I punch in. Anyone have any idea what
might be going on?
