[trees-plugin] - Dovecot index gets corrupted, when using maildir and recievend and accessing mail at the same time
Follow up: cmouse from #dovecot pointed out, that this was a dovecot bug which is already fixed in newer dovecot versions. Thank you! With dovecot 2.2.34 (current debian backports version), I can not reproduce the error. So my last, "bug unrelated" question remains: > 4.) Nice, short, pinpointed words I will file away for upcoming discussions. And I will file M's response, too, for the management.

It's not apparent those who clamour for it know the difference. > For end user, only PGP or similar provides sufficient security against admin. For content. Metadata can also reveal a lot. If the

Simple way to get mailbox size by folder.
Is there a simple way to get each mailbox size using dovecot's IMAP interface? The GETQUOTAROOT and GETQUOTA seems to work with the full maildir size and not the individual folders. I am finding a simple way for the webmail client to show usage of each folder. Thanks Vijay

Problem w/ b95 + ZFS (version 11) - seeing fair number of errors on multiple machines
Hi, After upgrading to b95 of OSOL/Indiana, and doing a ZFS upgrade to the newer revision, all arrays I have using ZFS mirroring are displaying errors. This started happening immediately after ZFS upgrades. Here is an example: ormandj at neutron.corenode.com:~$ zpool status pool: rpool state: DEGRADED status: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An attempt was

Problem with dynamic DNS
Why would I do that? This is a *computer* not *user* adding the record. It is supposed to match the "grant INTERNAL.DOMAIN.TLD ms-self * A AAAA;" rule but it does not. For some mystical reason. auth module logging
Hi, As per my discussion with cmouse on irc, I'm currently just using dovecot for its auth mechanism, etc capabilities (alas, Exim does not support argon directly). Tis a fun little side project. :) I have the config pared down as far as I think is reasonable (see below) and all is working well except that dovecot is very silent. Errors hit the logs but I would appreciate seeing successful

Problem with dynamic DNS
(please reply to the list) If the record does not exist, then you have an other problem. Because samba does support this : cat /var/lib/samba/private/named.conf.update /* this file is auto-generated - do not edit */ update-policy { grant INTERNAL.DOMAIN.TLD ms-self * A AAAA; grant Administrator at INTERNAL.DOMAIN.TLD wildcard * A AAAA SRV CNAME; grant

Pigeonhole External pipe script going zombie?
I?m running dovecot 2.2.27 and pigeonhole 0.4.16 on FreeBSD 11. I?m using the pigeonhole/sieve external pipe plugin to run a Perl program to send a Pushover notification when certain messages are received. The Perl script is executed, and the notification is sent. But then the script task seems to go zombie until it is killed after a timeout. In the user?s sieve log, I get a message like

Hi, as discussed with cmouse on freenode two days ago please find attached necessary debug information on a crashing imap-login process, that appeared after upgrading to v2.3 (+ sieve). It is a standard setup in combination with postfix and thunderbird, roundcube and K9(Android) as imap clients. Panic happens 5-6 times a day, but no influence on user experience. Unfortunately i have no idea

My guess would be that the switch isn't configured to give you access to VLAN 5 with tagged packets.
