[BUG] imap-login segfault when running nmap -sV
Hi, I've noticed that nmap crashes my imap-login (also pop3-login) and narrowed it down to `nmap -sV -p 993 $host`. I've noticed that if I remove "ssl_protocols = !SSLv2 !SSLv3" from my config or enable SSLv3 rather than disabling it the segfault disappears. I'm running on Arch Linux with dovecot 2.2.16-1 and openssl 1.0.2.a-1. I've also attached a network capture, but

[BUG] 2.2.21 Panic: file imap-client.c: line 841 (client_check_command_hangs): assertion failed: (!have_wait_unfinished || unfinished_count > 0)
Hi, I'm seeing the following in my logs. Twice so far, no idea what caused it. I do however have the core dump if that is of any use. > Jan 4 11:14:11 karif dovecot[20876]: imap(username): Panic: file imap-client.c: line 841 (client_check_command_hangs): assertion failed: (!have_wait_unfinished || unfinished_count > 0) > Jan 4 11:14:11 karif dovecot[20876]: imap(username): Error:

NOTIFY broken in 2.2.31?
Hi, I just updated my Dovecot to the new build in Fedora 26, which is based on 2.2.31. After I did that, Evolution (3.24.3) is no longer receiving notifications about new mail in folders other than inbox (the same version of Evo that worked fine against Dovecot 2.2.30.2). The only folder that still gets notifications is inbox. I see there have been changes to NOTIFY code in this release. What

"NOTIFY SET (mailboxes INBOX (...))" crashes the IMAP client
Hi list, The NOTIFY extension (RFC 5465) works fine for mailboxes in the "virtual/" namespace, but it crashes the IMAP client when used with a mailbox in the empty "" namespace: ~$ /usr/lib/dovecot/imap * PREAUTH [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 ? IMAP NOTIFY extension
http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-2.2-notify/ contains the initial implementation of IMAP NOTIFY extension. It's less than half-working, but the difficult part of it is done I think. If I give it a command like: x notify set (personal (messagenew messageexpunge flagchange)) and then in another session I copy a message to another mailbox, it sends: * STATUS "foobar" (MESSAGES 77

Race condition in IMAP NOTIFY for events received NOTIFY_DELAY_MSECS apart
Hi there, There seem to be a race condition in IMAP NOTIFY: when two events for the SELECTED mailbox are received soon after one another, sometimes only the first one is being reported to clients that enabled IMAP NOTIFY. On closer look it seems like this is most often reproducible when the delay between the two events is NOTIFY_DELAY_MSECS (500ms). This is with 2.3.4.1 from Debian sid. $

Bug[?]report: duplicate response
hi, i'm not sure if i've discovered a bug or if i'm not following the IMAP specs correctly. observations: { echo -en "a1 login foo bar\r\na2 notify set (subscribed (FlagChange SubscriptionChange MessageNew MessageExpunge))\r\n"; cat - } | openssl s_client -connect [my_dovecot_server]:993 produces the following output (aside from the openssl s_client cert-inspection

Problem with flags
Greetings! I'm having a problem with flags not working correctly. I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird as my mail client, and Dovecot 0.99.10.4 as part of Debian on a Sparc box. The thing that doesn't seem to be working right is Thunderbird's Label feature, which uses custom IMAP flags. I noticed that once I labeled a message, I couldn't un-label it. I recorded this exchange

Having relocated my virtual folders to a new namespace - I'm having some subscription challenges.? I'm able to reach them via telnet without issue - and some clients have better luck than others.? Some folders have no problems at all - some seem different. In trying to identify what might be the issue - at the moment the only thing I'm seeing is the ones that are completely

failed creating protocol instance to play queued url
I run thunderbird (both 3.x and 5.x) against dovecot 2.x and frequently see delays "loading message". I admit to having a very large mailbox and running multiple imap clients. I've turned on thunderbird debugging, and at least one pattern I see in the log during the delays (maybe a minute long) is the failed protocol message above. These are no the only delays, but are the ones
