I've moved a user from being in /etc/passwd to being a proper domain user. I've added the user with RSAT with UID.GID 10005.10000. I've removed the user from /etc/passwd. We have the same problem, with a twist. When Thunderbird deletes a folder, it is still shown by the GUI. Dovecot deleted the folder correctly, and the sunscriptions file is also correct. Some other times, on shared folders, Thunderbird refuses to delete; in this case, apple mail on iphone can delete successfully. This suggests that the problem is in Thunderbird's code. I've switched a user to being an active directory user. That user's email client authorizes just fine with dovecot using GSSAPI. However, now his iPhone won't authorize.
