Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic) packages now available
Hello Dovecot-List, so Ubuntu users now can get the latest dovecot version. As I am just building a production mailserver for customers, this could come in handy, maybe. For a live production system, is it reasonable to switch from the main Ubuntu Dovecot release to your newer packages? How long will the Dovecot team build these packages? When the team don't want to build these packages

Can't build R 3.6.1 or 3.5.3 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Hi, Yes I am aware of it. And yes, I have libicu60 installed. Is it the configure script making a mistake? Ubuntu issue with 18.04 Bionic Beaver
Dear Dirk (other users and Dave) PART 1 I finally was able to install R.3.5.1, however, I had to invoke the following sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys E084DAB9 As this skin of Ubuntu 18.04 (Peppermint) does not seem to allow access to the bionic-cran35 repository unless this key is set and added to the system. This is odd - well for me anyway, as for other skins of

Problems getting POSIX ACL working on upgraded samba file server Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to 18.04 LTS
Running a Samba 4 AD DC on Ubuntu 18.04, and fileservers on 18.04. Our access control needs are rather simple and worked well under the samba 3 series with LDAP users and groups so we plan to keep using the POSIX ACL (regular filesystem access controls) On a fresh install file server(18.04) samba 4 with POSIX ACLs work with no issue, but I can't get the permissions to work properly on the

Can't build R 3.6.1 or 3.5.3 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Hi, I am trying to build a more recent version (3.6.1 or 3.5.3) of R on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. I have installed build-deps with: sudo apt-get build-dep r-base and I ran ./configure During "make", I get the following error: platform.o: In function `do_eSoftVersion': /home/user/Desktop/R-3.6.1/src/main/platform.c:3129: undefined reference to `u_getVersion_58'

Ubuntu 18.04 bionic: availability of R Ubuntu packages/ppa?
awesome, merci Dirk! and my apologies for not scrolling down better, I failed to see that the 18.04 update was linked to the R 3.5 issue . Further, please forgive my impatience, but I was very curious to see if the package tidyverse could be installed: I have the impression that it is short of being installed, missing just a few simple packages (with no apparent non-R dependencies). Indeed, a

Hi I just upgraded to the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, and tried to add both the "Ubuntu packages" source as well as ppa. I was not able to do this, trying to add for example: deb http://cran.cnr.berkeley.edu/bin/linux/ubuntu bionic/ or using: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:marutter/c2d4u am I doing something wrong, or just being impatient? Are there any plans to build these repos in the near

Dovecot on Ubuntu 20.04
Hi, sorry I should be more specific. I'm on Ubuntu 18.04 and using the latest packages from repo.dovecot.com But these are only available for bionic, not focal. So I'm not sure if the bionic packages are working under focal. I did not notice that ubuntu original packages are on 2.3.7 now. So worst thing will be that after the upgrade to focal i need to downgrade to 2.3.7 original ubuntu
