EC 1+2
Already read that. Seems that I have to use a multiple of 512, so 512*(3-2) is 512. When you shutdown a node, everything obviously gets killed but the client does not get notified

IMAP proxy
I'm migrating an old server to another old server (same dovecot version in both servers) The migration itself is straightforward, stop dovecot on the old server, migrate everything via rsync, start dovecot to the new server. There is only one step left: change the dns configuration, pointing from the old server to the newer one. As most of domains are not managed by me and some other domains

Re: [Qemu-devel] [qemu-img] support for XVA
I'm thinking on how to prove you a sample XVA I have to create (and populate) a VM because an empty image will result in an empty XVA And a VM is 300-400Mb as minimum Il 15 nov 2017 10:30 PM, "Max Reitz" <mreitz@redhat.com> ha scritto: > On 2017-11-15 21:41, Gandalf Corvotempesta wrote: > > 2017-11-15 21:29 GMT+01:00 Richard W.M. Where did you read 2k IOPS? GlusterFS as virtual machine storage
Gandalf, SIGKILL (killall -9 glusterfsd) did not stop I/O after few minutes. SIGTERM on the other hand causes crash, but this time it is not read-only remount, but around 10 IOPS tops and 2 IOPS on average. -ps On Fri, Sep 8, 2017 at 1:56 PM, Diego Remolina <dijuremo at gmail.com> wrote: > I currently only have a Windows 2012 R2 server VM in testing on top of > the gluster storage,

Very slow performance on Sharded GlusterFS
I already tried 512MB but re-try again now and results are the same. Both without tuning; Stripe 2 replica 2: dd performs 250~ mb/s but shard gives 77mb. I attached two logs (shard and stripe logs) Note: I also noticed that you said ?order?. Do you mean when we create via volume set we have to make an order for bricks? I thought gluster handles (and do the math) itself. Gencer

Archive maildir
Hi to all We have a maildir with about 180GB of emails. We have to archive them to a structure like: .Archive.YYY./MM.folder Are you aware of a script doing this ? I've found a perl script that doesn't spit in year and month and a very, very, very, very, very old python script that: 1) doesn't manage base64 encoded subject properly 2) doesn't work with python 3.x (that is able to
