Listening on multiple ports
I appreciate your suggestion. That'll allow both ports or only 8839? Listening on multiple ports
Many thanks - it doesn't work for me, however. There must be something in my configuration somewhere else, perhaps nothing to do with Dovecot, that prevents this. :-) On 27/04/18 18:55, Aki Tuomi wrote: > Yep. > > Aki > >> On 27 April 2018 at 09:50 Derek Harding <rev.derek.harding at gmail.com> wrote: >> >> >> I appreciate your suggestion.

different TLS protocols on different ports
Hello, I'm providing IMAP+Starttls on port 143 for users with legacy MUA. So I've to enable TLS1.0 up to TLS1.3 For IMAPS / port 993 I like to enable TLS1.2 and TLS1.3 only. Is this possible with dovecot-2.2.36 / how to setup this? Thanks for suggestions, Andreas

How to configure dovecot imap to listen on multiple ports?
I need my dovecot imap server to listen on ports 143, 993, and also 30143 and 30993. What syntax do I use in (I presume) the /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-master.conf file to do this? Thanks! Rick

dovecot listening imaps external interface
Hello, I'm trying to get dovecot to listen on specific interfaces. On the server itself I've got webmail going so am needing imap on 143. I do not want this on the external server interface, so I am wanting imaps port 993 external only. The configuration looks right, but Dovecot isn't showing anything listening on port 993 at all. Unrelated, my public and shared folders are not

Dovecot 2.2.27 & windows 10 outlook (no auth attempts in 0 secs) error.
Aki Tuomi wrote: > > Can you do > > doveconf -a | grep auth_mech > auth_mechanisms = plain login P.S. Seems this 2.2.24 is the last win10 compatible version (as my testserver doesn't have win10 users and thunderbird works well), any never version gives an error. However I didn't find any hint from http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot-news/2016-July/000324.html etc. --

Dovecot 2.2.27 & windows 10 outlook (no auth attempts in 0 secs) error.
Edit: When using win8, then logs started appear in dovecot.rawlog. But as win10 gives error in ssl level, before user authentication, then no debug logs will be written into user dovecot.rawlog folder. So how to debug this ssl issue? "no shared cypher", no matter what I try
hello, and some update short version: the error is still there, but I have some more data to share, thanks in advance for further advice first, I am using Mutt 1.10.1 (2018-07-13) as mail client, so it is not an obsolete version. second... at the moment I can send email through postfix on the same server, with the same certificates (almost: I still have to fix some stuff, but is NOT related to

Configuration is not working with Thunderbird
Hi, I'm new to the list (and postfix / dovecot), so if I mistakenly omit something, then please forgive me. I cannot log into Thunderbird via IMAP with my configuration. However, I can check the mail of each user by logging into their user account & then using the "mail" command. Is there something that is wrong with my config to not allow me to log into Thunderbird
