Hi Jacky, in postfix/main.cf you typically set something like smtpd_sasl_auth_enable=yes smtpd_sasl_type=cyrus smtpd_sasl_exceptions_networks=$mynetworks smtpd_sasl_security_options=noanonymous smtpd_sasl_authenticated_header=yes broken_sasl_auth_clients=yes smtpd_recipient_restrictions=permit_sasl_authenticated,permit_mynetworks,reject_unauth_destination smtpd_recipient_restrictions might

Dovecot Submission Proxy Auth
Hi Paul, Care to share your config (even OFFLIST) that has successfully integrated Dovecot Submission service with Exim?? I use Exim+Dovecot (Exim4U) and wouldn't mind exploring this. Thanks in advance. On 6 April 2018 at 19:15, Paul Hecker <paul at iwascoding.com> wrote: > Hi, > > Thanks you very much. This did the trick! > > > On 6. Apr 2018, at 15:56, Stephan

Compatibility of Submission in 2.3.1
Hi, Dovecot 2.3.1 (8e2f634). When using submission one client of mine can not send messages. Directly sending through exim works. Seems that dovecot is too picky or follow the RFC too precise here to be compatible. Here is the debug log (note the space between ?From:" and "<user2 at host.com>?): Apr 6 12:02:08 mail dovecot: submission(user at

Submission and CHUNKING
Hi, It seems that there is an issue with the submission service when the SMTP server advertises chunking (I use Exim v4.91). I tried this with Dovecot v2.3.3 and current master and could reproduce it with both versions. My setup is that dovecot submission proxies to Exim on port 10025. The first mail gets through without any issues, but the second email will not get send. I had this issue at

%d in deliver
Hi there, I run a system that has a lot of virtual users. We invoke deliver from exim and pass the directory to deliver into using the HOME environment variable, so deliver doesn't do any database lookups during the delivery process. The exim pipe environment is described at http://exim.org/exim-html-current/doc/html/spec_html/index.html#toc0239, but basically I'd like to know the domain
