Problem with sieve_before
Hi All,
I cannot get the sieve_before to work. I have dovecot & sieve

I don't get that reading:

Problem with Let's Encrypt Certificate
Bast, the way I understand it is that Let's Encrypt is not a Root Certificate Authority, it's an intermediate. The root CA of Let's Encrypt is "
DST_Root_CA_X3.crt", you should find it in /etc/ssl/certs/. I have sucessfully installed a Let's Encrypt certificate on a debian machine by Octobre 2016th too and it worked just fine.

Can't delete emails from or write replies to Inbox
Hi,
I'm running Dovecot and Thunderbird, with 2 separate accounts (business
and personal). One operates fine, but the other one won't allow me to
write replies to the Inbox (so that I can track current threads), and if
I move emails to another folder, it copies them instead. New emails do
appear in the Inbox.
I've checked the permissions on the two Inboxes, and they are the same

Problem with Let's Encrypt Certificate
Seems wrong to me too, Robert. If you put your private key inside your certificate, won't it be sent to the client along with it ?
Bastian, are you using an old version of thunderbird ? googling for "SSL alert number 42" gave me two results indicating a bug in thunderbird versions 31,32 and 33. You can check these links if you wish :

Solved? - Re: Understanding quotas
Robert,
If you wish, you can go one step further and configure postfix to reject mail -5.X.X DSN- when user is over quota instead of having the mail waiting in the postfix mail queue for considering it a temporary delivery problem -4.X.X DSN-. When the problem is considered temporary postfix will retry to send the e-mail several times (sometimes for a whole week) and the sender wouldn't even

How do I share folders ?
Hello dovecot,
First poster here.
What I want : give a.chaouche at algerian-radio.dz list and read permissions on a.chaouche at backup.algerian-radio.dz. Let's just discuss sharing the inbox then I can do the same for subfolders, in any. a.chaouche at algerian-radio.dz and a.chaouche at backup.algerian-radio.dz are two different users. Details about the domains aren't relevant here I

sieve vacation to an alias group
@odhiambo : we may later, but currently we are dependent on this email
Hi Yassine,
This is actually what I have done now, but I want it to be more robust, if
this user quits, then I must have someone else in the group with the rule.
I have moved the rule from global sieve script to one of group members in
his local sieve script, the syntax is the same
As for the rule itself

Studying dovecot source code (searching for mail_deliver_hook_set)
Hello dovecot,
I would like to study how dovecot manages quota, especially how it deals with the maildirsize file if one chooses to implement quota according to the maildir++ specification.
I made a number of assumptions :
1. mail is (always/sometimes) delivered with the dovecot-lda binary, which source code is in src/lda.
2. mail is sent with the mail_deliver function which is called from

Set up a simple internal web application or some other mechanism that
allows your colleagues to enter the local address part for forwarding

Since sending to the alias will send to a, b and c, just define the
filter on one mailbox only instead of making it global I guess.

Unable to set quota-fs plugin [fixed]
The issue was in the systemd service file. The option PrivateDevices was setted. It prevents the service to have access to physical devices. I removed this option and from there, quota is reported without errors.

I am curious to know how did you define the filter on an alias in the
first place ? is it a filter defined globaly in dovecot ? I don't see
how it can be defined in any individual mailbox. Can you show the
dovecot/sieve configuration to achieve this ?
