Okay. So following up on the problems I was discussing weeks ago, I have hand-patched dovecot to work around problems that I believe may be in libc and not dovecot.
Trying to get the properly built and installed dovecot-2.2.35, however, is giving me an error I haven?t seen before. I presume that something got munged while I was hand-configuring and installing/uninstalling/reinstalling the port

centos 5.1 fresh install of ipvsadm: service won't start: config missing
Hello all,
I have ipvsadm-1.24 installed, and there's an error when the service starts:
Applying IPVS configuration: /etc/init.d/ipvsadm: line 62:
/etc/sysconfig/ipvsadm: No such file or directory
is the install broken? I did a "yum whatprovides ipvsadm" and it does
say there's a config, but doesn't point to where it is.
any suggestions?

Hey all,
I'm running Samba 3.0.11 on HP-UX 11i. My only recent change was moving
from smbpasswd to tdbsam, but this issue has suddenly cropped up:
[2008/03/04 07:50:34, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection(796), pacsd1
(130.219.4.160) couldn't find service %u
...which doesn't make any sense to me. Of interest might be the pdbedit

miserable time with Cisco ATA186
I'm having a horrible experience getting a Cisco ATA-186 to work with *.
I can make calls from the ATA with no problems. However, incoming calls
make the ATA ring once, and then the call is disconnected. I have no
problems with my Sipura 2000 or my Grandstream phones.
I am running 2.16.1 sip code on the ATA 186. Neither * nor the ATA is
behind a NAT. They are both on public IP addresses

Upgrade 'R'
More and more I am getting warnings from packages that I install that the package was built with 2.7.2 (I am running 2.7.1). I would like to upgrade but don't want to loose all of the packages that I have installed and the settings. Is there a way to just "upgrade" without uninstalling and reinstalling 'R'?

Samba mixing Domain & Server name

I have a SLES10 64bit machine running samba 3.5.12.
i have configured a domain (TASC), and set the servers netbios name to TUX.
Samba is using the tdbsam backend.
Now I have add machines to the domain, and users can logon using their domain
accounts TASC\user.
However, if the network is disconnected, in the case of laptop users going
offsite, they cannot logon anymore. I have now

After uninstalling and reinstalling, no Wine folders
Originally installed Wine [9.33] from the Ubuntu repository. After
adding the WineHQ repository, I was upgraded to 9.49. Since it was an
upgrade, the folders installed by 9.33 were retained in place of those

Samba and LDAP, problem with variables %u and %g

I'm using samba 3(.0.13) with OpenLDAP and I have a strange problem:
the variables %U and %G don't seem to be replaced by their values.
I get nothing in my logs, so I don't know where is the problem...
In fact, in my smb.conf, I have something like:

PDC config asking for double AUTH
Hy,
I have set up a samba PDC with tdbsam, for a office, everything seems to be
ok, users logon to the pcs with their user domains, the policies are working
ok, but once they login, when they try to access a share in the samba pdc
server, it asks againg for user and passwd, Any idea why its doing this?,
you cant access also the netlog on share, so no scripts are working :**.

Can't upgrade or reinstall wine
I'm running Ubuntu 11.04. [LLVMdev] Uninstalling TOT to use a branch release
Still unresolved.
The exact error message I get each time I try to use llvm-g++ is 'unrecognized command line option "-emit-llvm-bc" '. I've tried reinstalling both LLVM and LLVM-GCC using MacPorts.
