Tracking logins
Hi,
I'm using dovecot-2.1.17 on fc18 and wondered if there is some
mechanism, perhaps a database, that can store the logins/logouts for
each user? I realize there's something already logged to syslog, but
I'd like more of a history.
While lastlog is great for users that actually login, my dovecot users
don't login, just check email via pop and imap.
Any ideas greatly

I sent a mail to one of the Maintainers (darix) and they updated only an hour
later - very nice guy.
After the following upgrade, the sieve-scripts are replicated - very
good.

Scripts for monitoring NUT UPSes with Xymon
Hello everyone. I recently created a set of external scripts for the Xymon
Networking Monitor system to monitor and graph AC input voltage, AC output
voltage, battery charge %, battery voltage, and UPS Load % of UPSes managed
by the Network UPS tools (NUT) suite.
The scripts make use of the "upsc" program to poll the upsd daemon and report
the information back to the Xymon server for

Peculiar process name in /proc
Hello,
I was looking at a process through the '/proc' file system, and came across a
process name which seemed to contain a hex value:
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 xymon xymon 0 Aug 2 14:07 /proc/58032/exe ->
/usr/sbin/xymond;5d44410e (deleted)
I am aware of what the 'deleted' part means, but have no idea what the
';5d44410e' part means. Is this some sort of thread reference?

[OT] How many useRs?
I figured the devel list would have people on it who might know the
answer to this....
Is there a reliable (for some definition of reliable) estimate of how
many people use R or have downloaded it? Say an order of magnitude
estimate? I would like to mention this in the introduction to a paper
I'm writing where I encourage R's use.
Thanks for any help.

script to detect dictionary attacks
Hi
has someone a script which can filter out dictionary attacks
from /var/log/maillog and notify about the source-IPs?
i know about fail2ban and so on, but i would like to have
a mail with the IP address for two reasons and avoid fail2ban
at all because it does not match in the way we maintain firewalls

popular R packages
I would like to get some idea of which R-packages are popular, and what R is
used for in general. Are there any statistics available on which R packages
are downloaded often, or is there something like a package-survey? Something
similar to http://popcon.debian.org/ maybe? Any tips are welcome!

sieve
Hi,
is there a sieve option that can reject a mail directly without creating a new mail and sending that out? I know about
reject "Reject message goes here";
but I am looking for a mechanism that can reject Mail. Postfix can use reject_unverified_recipient to connect to LMTP and ask if a mail would successfully be enqueued and will return the status gotten from the LMTP server if not.

}
for czech speaking users.
Thanks for your answers. Radek

Strange repplication issues
Hi,
I know there are lots of questions about replication, but I searched and
didn't find my question.
I've got some problems with syncing. I've got 2 servers: A and B
When a email arrives on server A sometimes it's not syncing in server B
I think server A doesn't always notify server B there are new mails to
sync. But I don't know how to fix it.
And I spotted something,

- monitoring software
hi,
I have a dedicated server with several services running: ssh, ftp, httpd
(with several sites andactive domains), the mail server (dovecot,
postfix), dns.
I'd like to monitor all of these services in a graphical, easy, setting
of thresholds and alerts via email.
I would also like that if a customer wanted to see the graphs I could
create codes read-only.
there is one or more software
