Using virtual folders with younger and index files
Hello Rob, Do you by chance have a virtual/All folder which holds all your messages? If so, could I see that configuration? Thanks. Dave. Virtual Mailboxes redux
I?ve created virtual mailboxes in dovecot, and they show up in various clients, but the folders contain no messages. (I will get an ?empty? folder icon named ?@virtual? and an empty folder icon named ?month? inside it. Is there a way I can verify what dovecot THINKS should be in the virtual folder via doveadm?

Dovecot 2.3 - using doveadm as non-root?
Hi dovecot developers and users, I recently upgraded my server running Arch Linux to dovecot 2.3.0, and I noticed some of my cron jobs started issuing me error messages. These cron jobs run as a non-root user associated with my mail account, and they use doveadm to tidy things up (ex. purging the trash, moving old mail in certain folders into the trash). The error message is: > Error:

Virtual question
?For each virtual directory you need to create a dovecot-virtual file. Its syntax is like:? OK, where does this file get created? Say I want the users to have a virtual mailbox that is messages received in the last month, does that file go into each user' s Maildir path? It sounds like I have to create a virtual folder for each user, then any folders inside that folders, and then the config

Virtual question
So. Under /etc/dovecot/virtual you create the virtual folder structure you want, and put the dovecot-virtual files under those folders. such as /etc/dovecot/virtual/month/dovecot-virtual Then in dovecot.conf you put namespace virtual { location = virtual:/etc/dovecot/virtual:INDEX=~/virtual:CONTROL=~/virtual # change these to match your setup prefix=virtual/ separator=/ } and then

[PATCH V2] ocfs2: need rollback when journal_access failed in ocfs2_orphan_add()
While adding a file into orphan dir in ocfs2_orphan_add(), it calls __ocfs2_add_entry() before ocfs2_journal_access_di(). If ocfs2_journal_access_di() failed, the file is added into orphan dir, and orphan dir dinode updated, but file dinode has not been updated. Accordingly, the data is not consistent between file dinode and orphan dir. So, need to call ocfs2_journal_access_di() before

[PATCH V3 RESENT] ocfs2: lighten up allocate transaction
Hi Andrew Morton, The patch "[patch 05/22] ocfs2: lighten up allocate transaction" in mm tree is not the newest one, please drop it from mm tree. This patch V3 is newest, please replace it. Thanks. several misc questions, public folders and sharing, quota, ssl
Hi Aki, Thanks for your reply. Sorry, hit the reply to and not the reply to all option. So, even when a folder is a public folder I'm still needing to use the acl plugin? Panic: Leaked view for index - virtual mailbox
Hi! Was looking at your config and I am puzzled why you are adding ? mailbox INBOX/Archives { ??? auto = no ??? special_use = \Archive ? } under namespace 'Synoptic'? Do you actually have a virtual folder config for all those folders? You can't just "move" folders into a namespace by declaring them there, those become Synoptic/INBOX/Archives, and require a dovecot-virtual

I am pretty sure Synoptic/INBOX/Archives will not be same as INBOX/Archives. a SELECT Synoptic/INBOX/Archives a NO Mailbox doesn't exist: Synoptic/INBOX/Archives (0.001 + 0.000 secs). a SELECT INBOX/Archives * FLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft) * OK [PERMANENTFLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft \*)] Flags permitted. * 45 EXISTS So as you can see, specifying

problem with a repo
Hello, I've got rpmforge and epel on centos 5.3. I'm trying to do an install of perl-Image-Info for spamassassin image scanning. The package was picked up in rpmforge since first, but it is failing to install because a dependency is missing. I added perl-Image-Info to rpmforge's excludepkgs line and tried to install the package again this time thinking it would pull from epel. This
