Letsencrypt certificate for repo.dovecot.org expired May 14th..
Dear Aki, I think the renewal failed again. The SSL certificate expired Saturday, 14 July 2018. This affects (at least) the repo.dovecot.org website and debian repository. Thanks, Bernardo. Server certificate verification error with Dovecot 2.3.2.1
I'm attempting to upgrade my Dovecot installation to 2.3.2.1. My SSL certificate authority provides a bundle containing their CA, plus intermediate CAs, which I configure using the 'ssl_ca' option. The comments in the configuration file say to only set this when you're requiring client certificates, which I'm not, but fetchmail complains with a "Server certificate

Winbind backend : rid is too much underappreciated
ah, ok, yes that was it.. ;-) so for my understanding. we use AD backend if we also want to use the RFC2307 extention (with winbind and schema_mode rfc2307) and we can use RID if we want the windows user id with winbind. and for RID we can use the server templete settings and for AD can can set this per user seen the the Unix Attibutes tab in the windows tool correct? Dovecot blacklist?
Or you can implement a policy server yourself. :)The protocol is not complicated, json over http. Change machine name without a reboot?
Systemd service files are generally coming with packages. This means these files can be overwritten by some system update if this updates also your Samba packages (note: I never had nor tested that behaviour with Samba packages, but it happens for other packages). 2016-02-23 8:39 GMT+01:00 L.P.H. van Belle <belle at bazuin.nl>: > Uh... just add : > > netbios name = PC_NAME >

Dovecot blacklist?
Just wondering if there is an easy way to have dovecot do a blacklist lookup as a negative authentication so that if the IP is on a blacklist then authentification fails even if they get the password right. If this works I have a blacklist everyone can use.

In future release we will add master authentication too. Now you can use api key or doveadm password which are essentially same thing. ---Aki TuomiDovecot oy-------- Alkuper?inen viesti --------L?hett?j?: Peter Chiochetti <pch at myzel.net> P?iv?m??r?: 4.3.2016 20.20 (GMT+02:00) Saaja: dovecot at dovecot.org Aihe: Re: v2.2.22 release candidate released Am 2016-03-04 um 14:33 schrieb Timo

firewalld services to open for an ADDC
Hai, If you use that or the AD, then its incomplete, imo. Your missing ldaps (636) and the GC (ssl) 3268/3269) ports and maybe NTP (123/tcp) if installed. Maybe you dont need them, just an observation. where are stored attachments
Sorry, I have checked before I wrote first post. Based on docs - the path should be in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf or /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-mail.conf (I have Ubuntu 16.04 LTS). I have some familiar lines in 10-mail.conf: #mail_attachment_dir = #mail_attachment_min_size = 128k #mail_attachment_fs = sis posix #mail_attachment_hash = %{sha1} but all these lines are commented out. So - in theory -

doveconf -n not showing all changes
Hi, Today I was testing the last dovecot release 2.3 from the dovecot repo on ubuntu 16.04. (I upgraded from 2.2.23) I cannot recall if I noticed it before, but doveconf -n not showing all changes. To be able to track my changes, I don't touch the config files provided in conf.d/ anymore, but I write them in local.conf (I did in the past so doveconf -n still shows something) I was
