Debugging with strace
We have a dovecot install that is working fine for everyone except one
user, who complains that it takes a minute or longer to delete a single
message from the INBOX to Trash. This is happening for him from
multiple IMAP clients so it appears to be server-side.
I wanted to start up a test instance of dovecot alongside the production
one and test there. So I copied dovecot.conf, put imap on

Incidence estimated from Kaplan-Meier
Dear all,
I have a stat question that may not be related to R, but I would like to
have your advice.
I have just read a medical paper in which the authors report the 1-p (where
p is the cumulative survival probability from the Kaplan Meier curve) as
incidence of disease.
Specifically, the study followed ~12000 women on drug A and ~20000 women on
drug B for 12 months. During that period

DIGlobalVariableExpression doc in langref
Hi,
I don't find DIGlobalVariableExpression in langref. Should it be
documented? Could anybody explain what it is?
https://llvm.org/docs/LangRef.html
In one ll file converted from bitcode, I mostly see something like this.
!8273 = !DIGlobalVariableExpression(var: !8274, expr: !DIExpression())
Only one looks like this.
!8945 = !DIGlobalVariableExpression(var: !8946, expr:

Not sure for Fedora, but the system is installed with either RHEL6,
RHEL7 or Ubuntu 14.04 depending on the Lab I'm making on it without
issue.

Globally they do ;-)

applying a set of rules to each row
All,
I would like to apply a set of rules to each row of the sample data set
below. The rule sets are the guidelines for determining an individual's
date for retirement eligibility. The rules are found in this document,
http://www.opm.gov/feddata/RetirementPaperFinal_v4.pdf. I am only
interested in the top two categories for retirement eligibility, the
CSRS and FERS plans.
The data set has

2.0 migration weirdnesses: logs and hang
Hello,
I'm testing out an upgrade to dovecot 2.0 from 1.2.11, and I've
stumbled across two weirdnesses that I need help with.
First, I'm only getting one log message:
master: Info: Dovecot v2.0.0 starting up
After that, while I can connect, log in, read mail, etc., no further
log messages are created.
I have log_path set to /dev/stderr, and no syslog_facility setting,

My test script on RHEL 7.1 creates that even if I could make it smaller
as the kernel + initrd fits in less than 32 MB. So let me make that try
first !
o I changed myline in the script to dd a 30 MB image file, burt the ISO

Opus on iOS - ARM64
Hello,
I'm having some trouble getting Opus to work in an ARM64 iOS application
and I'm wondering if anyone here has any guidance. Maybe I am missing
something simple.
Specifically, the problem is that Opus running on ARM64 outputs different
data than other architectures -- ARMv7, ARMv7s, i386, and x86_64. On all
other platforms except ARM64, encoding a 1280 byte slice of audio data

how to use ntlm_auth
Hi,
I want to know how to use ntlm_auth with ntlm-server-1 and freeradius,
with the users login and password information in ldap.
I have read documentation of ntlm_auth (only found the man page), docs
and howtos about pptp and squid, i don't found about freeradius, and i'm
experimenting with the options of ntlm_auth.
I have configured freeradius+ldap+802.1X for a wireless lan, but i

[LLVMdev] [x86 codegen] 3DNow! intrinsics not behaving as expected.
I finally got all of the 3DNow! instruction intrinsics and builtins
into LLVM and Clang, however, while testing them, I've noticed that
they produce incorrect results.
For example:
typedef float V2f __attribute__((vector_size(8)));
int main() {
V2f dest, a = {1.0, 3.0}, b = {10.0, 3.5};
dest = __builtin_ia32_pfadd(a, b);
printf("(%f, %f)\n", dest[0], dest[1]);

Sieve as mail client?
A slightly off topic question, but maybe someone here has seen
something like this:
I want a program that operates entirely on the client side of
an IMAP server, and implements the sieve filtering language
by doing the necessary client side operations to move mail
on the IMAP server, expunge mail, etc.
It would also act as a proxy between my real mail client and
the IMAP server so I'd never

Problem running SSH on IBM PPC440 processor, help appreciated
Hi,
Sorry to bother you on this mailing list, however I tried everything else and I am desperate to get this running. Please send me any hints you can think of.
I have installed openssh-3.7.1p2 on a ppc target and trying to connect to an sshd running on a redhat 9 with openssh-3.5p1. I keep getting the error "Disconnecting: Corrupted check bytes on input" no matter what I tried. I

Postgresql vs MySQL
Is there any reason to avoid using postgresql for small web apps? That is, is it''s
overhead so large that the lighter MySQL will work substantially better for small apps on
small machines? Or are they very similar in performance and configuration?
I''ve used MySQL but postgresql has its appeals and I''m wondering if I need to keep MySQL
around at all.
