MyISAM Too many open files; + index.cache: Cannot allocate memory

sieve setup. no svbin ?
since moving/upgrading system I've noticed I no longer get sieve script compiled, there is no dovecot.svbin created in /var/vmail/vmail1/sbt.net.au/voytek at tld.au/sieve what am I missing, how to check ? also, looking at sieve.log, I see a lot of May 31 06:32:50 lda(voytek at sbt.net.au)<1234><c4aVBfI98FzSBAAAyLbbsQ>: Error: sieve: Failed to initialize script execution: Invalid

I have Centos 7 with dovecot/postfix/mysql Maildir I want to bring in a new server, new server will have same hostname as current, but, different IP I was intending to rsync -avzhe ssh vmail at oldserver:/var/vmail/vmail1 /var/vmail/vmail1 and, then, re run as necessary when/if mail still arrives on old server is that "a good plan" ...? warning, dumb question ahead: I want to re-arrange, rename & create some sub directories below INBOX in my own mailbox; if I use 'mc' from terminal to do so, can that cause me grief...? do I need to ?? re-index explicitly?? afterwards ? how to re-index ? or is that a really _B_ad idea, and, I should do it through say squirrelmail client ? thanks for any pointers! # dovecot

getting rid of old spam from +spam Maildir ?
I'm trying to setup per user '+spam' delivery from amavis tags, so that each user gets any mails tagged as spam to 'spam' Maildir via +spam Dovecot lmtp delivery. after say 7 days I want to delete all spams older than 7 days, if I simply delete mail files from the file system, is that a 'bad thing' ? what is a proper way to do that, and scripts ? for

moving /var/vmail/vmail1 Maildir tree to another partition?
I have a small Postfix/Dovecot/MariaDB on Centos 7 with a dozen virtual domains, I'm running out of space in /var but got space can I simply move the entire /var/vmail/vmail1 tree elsewhere ? like say /vmail/vmail1 is it as simple as shutting Dovecot/Postfix, move tree, edit conf and re start ? or am I missing something ..? or is the a better way of doing this ? # grep 'var/vmail'

mysql lookup on another host performance q?
