Your backtrace would've been informative already if you had issued bt full. Just opening it with gdb is not sufficient. domain quota dictionary
Hi I just configure dovecot with the second dictionary for the domain quota dict { quotadict = mysql:/usr/local/etc/dovecot-quota.conf quota_domain = mysql:/usr/local/etc/dovecot-quota-domain.conf } plugin { quota = dict:user::proxy::quotadict quota2 = dict:domain:%d:proxy::quota_domain } and the dovecot-quota-domain.conf looks like this : connect = host=xxx dbname=xxx

Dovecot/doveadm quota
Doesn't it currently confuse them? Because they'd reach their quota, while actually there would be a lot of disk space left :) + their whole mailbox could take a lot more space due to indexes and other files in the filesystem, and quota would not be reached. Also, I've dovecot is using fstat's st_size parameter. This is not "correct", in that the actual space used on

Dovecot/doveadm quota
I think that most admins do not really care about physical disk usage as long as it's not exceeded, and most service providers prefer calculating quota against apparent usage instead of real usage, so they can charge you for that. dovecot-lda crash after upgrade to 2.2.28
I just recreated configuration of Dovecot 2.2.28 and got the same error but in imap service (it was there in logs too as for dovecot-lda but I don't saw it at time). > Feb 27 20:09:41 beta dovecot: imap(postmaster at peek.ru): Panic: file > mail-namespace.c: line 709 (mail_namespace_find): assertion failed: (ns > != NULL) > Feb 27 20:09:47 beta dovecot: lda(my at domain.ru):

hi all when I use dsync migrate users from dovecot2.0.14(maildir Solaris10) to dovecot2.2.15(mdbox debian7) , most of the users migrated well, only one user has a error. migrate cmd: "$dovecotHome"bin/doveadm -Dv -o mail_fsync=never -o imapc_host=$ip backup -R -u $user imapc: dovecot2.2.15 log: doveadm(root): Debug: Loading modules from directory: /home/mail/dovecot/lib/dovecot

Plugins/Mailcrypt: mail_crypt_private_password not assigned by password_query
I try to use Mailcrypt encrypted user keys with conjustion with dbsync replication(Dovecot 2.3.6 in FreeBSD 12.0 enviroment) but was unsuccessful. If I provide a password in mail_crypt_private_password variable directly in Dovecot config all things works as expected plugin { mail_crypt_curve = prime256v1 mail_crypt_save_version = 2 mail_crypt_require_encrypted_user_key = yes

Dovecot/doveadm quota
I think these changes will confuse users because calculated quota wouldn't be equals with total messages sizes. Quota error for disabled namespace
Hello, Some of our users use a dedicated archive mailbox, so we've setup an archive namespace for it, which is by default disabled. This namespace has its own quota which is defined by quota2* settings. Every time a user without archive authenticates, dsync kicks in, lmtp delivers a message or imap is used an Error message gets recorded: "imap(user1): Error: quota: Unknown namespace:

Deleted mail reappearing
Recently I upgraded dovecot quite a few major versions. Since then some mailboxes are experiencing deleted mail reappearing. It seems to be happening roughly once a day, but not for every mail client or mailbox, I have at least two clients with this issue: Thunderbird and Outlook. Storage is local under two partitions, one as alternative storage. # 2.3.7.2 (3c910f64b): /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
