Uh, "pop3s" != "imap", and IMAP/STARTTLS is not the same as IMAP/SSL (or whatever the hell the terminology is nowadays). If you're testing IMAP, try one or the other or both depending of how many flavours

Hi, I have set up ImapcProxy based on the wiki2 page. My server is set up for no plain text auth without starttls. When I am trying to login in the proxy server, I am getting an error Unknown username/password. The log says: *dovecot: imap-login: Aborted login (auth failed, 1 attempts in 2 secs): user=<xxx>, method=PLAIN, rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, TLS, session=<1pBG/03XogB/AAAB>*

Disconnected for inactivity in reading our output top=0/0
Would someone please help with this error. Using: dovecot-1.0-2.rc28.fc6 On: Fedora Core 6 130 users all connect remotely via ADSL to server to pop their email. None of them have any problems at all with pop3. 3 users in one office, connect to the server via a NAT'd ADSL. ldap start_tls to microsoft active directory
Andrew, Thanks for the pointers about looking into the ldap client libs. I think I've found a situation where tls connections to the AD server on port 389 have trouble. I've added the CA cert to ldap.conf, and to the ca_root_nss file on this system. First what works: 1. ldapsearch commands with -Z to force use of tls (configured in /usr/local/etc/ldap.conf) 2. ssl connections with

Problem getting a dovecot proxy to connect to another dovecot machine via STARTTLS
Hi, I'm having a bit of a problem trying to setup a dovecot proxy. I have a setup with two nodes. One is a working Dovecot/Postfix mail server (node a). The other is running a dovecot proxy and roundcube webmail. Currently I can telnet to port 143 (or openssl s_client to port 993) to localhost on node b. I can then login to a test account on node a. This all works. However, once I instruct

For example: STARTTLS=server, relay=mx1.imt-systems.com [89.146.219.60], version=TLSv1/SSLv3, verify=FAIL, cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA, bits=256/256 STARTTLS=server, relay=acsinet12.imt-systems.com [89.146.219.42], version=TLSv1/SSLv3, verify=FAIL,
