[PLUGIN] Virtual keywords (aka Gmail-like labels)
As a matter of fact I use the virtual plugin to achieve what I want. I
create dovecot-virtual configuration files.
But if I understand you correctly, your approach is a system-wide
configuration. Labels are per-user and dynamic by definition.

Yes, automation is the main point of the plugin :-)
The problem is that creating virtual folders involves writing on the
file system directly, which you can't do through IMAP alone. So I had
to work within the mail server.
What I really wanted to do was to create a storage driver (it seemed
more suitable to the plugin scope), but that was much more complex and
it will probably come in a

There is actually some request for ability to users to somehow create
virtual folders on demand, so it's a thing we are going to work on at
some point.

You can actually create per-user virtual folders too. They don't need to
be global. But I see your plugin does automation, and it could write the
virtual file under user-writable location.

Updating keywords on copy/move
Hello,
I'm working on my virtual keywords plugin [1] to add an apparently
simple feature: add a keyword to a message when it is moved or copied
into a virtual folder (let's forget about what keyword to add, I'm
starting with a hard-coded one to understand Dovecot plugin
development).
So I've added a mail_copy hook by the notify plugin [2] and did a
simple call to

Shutting down WinXP Pro instance
Recently I set up a PDC (Fedora 12 - I'm using this for a specific reason) using Samba 3.4.9 and OpenLDAP 2.4.19; I named my domain ATHOME. I am trying to figure out how to shut down WinXP Pro remotely and I'm not having any luck. Up to this point I have tried the following:
- I used ATHOME\root which is the admin acct I used to join XP to my domain. I added ATHOME\root to my

Seems the bug is in errorcall().
yes, I know the syntax is wrong, but it is an easy mistake
to make and it is inconvenient to lose the work space at times.

Samba server doesn't announce itself.
Hi
I'm running two Samba Servers on the same network.
One if the servers announces itself correctly, and I can see it
as a member of the "AtHome" workgroup from a Windows Box.
I set up a second server on the same network, but that
box does not appear to announce itself. If I added the
second server to the PC's hosts file, I can access it
by entering \\ServerName in explorer.

Asterisk@home .05 release questions on setup.
Hello,
Great job on the Asterisk@home project. Looks great this new version is really nicer looking. But I have a few questions.
1) For the new web access http://localIP/maint how and where do I change the password.
2) Since I don't use the Amp section for setup the .conf files I use my own. How do I get the asterisk server running status up. I have it running and works but shows up as not

GMail-like user labels in IMAP/dovecot, situation in 2017?
Hello,
I am in the process of updating my IMAP dovecot installation and I was
wondering what is the current state of the art for GMail-like
user-defined labels.
Are GMail-like user-defined labels now somehow achievable with dovecot?
If now, what is missing? Standardized metadata formats? Support in clients?
I searched the web a bit but I could not find any activity in the

Win 7 profiles
I?ve got a laptop running Win 7 Pro registered with my Samba/OpenLDAP PDC and it seems to not be handling roaming profiles properly when I reboot and log in. More often than not, it would take a long time logging in because it would recreate entirely new profile trees (eg. jtseng.ATHOME, jtseng.ATHOME.001, jtseng.ATHOME.002, jtseng.ATHOME.003 and so on). Could someone clue me in as to why this

IAX Peer/auth issues WAS: Netlogic inbound DID issue
Has something changed in the recent modifications to Asterisk that would
break dialing of the IAX peer? We're getting these authority failures
everywhere.
Everything is configured just the way it was half a year ago, this is
the message we're getting on the most recent vers of asterisk. Wiki says
nothing, nor does the ast-dev list..

tinc vs. ipchains masquerading
Howdy,
I tried tackling this on irc with Ivo, but I suspect that irc may really
not be the best medium for technical discussions, so I'll reprise it here.
I am trying to duplicate the "tinc from behind a masquerading firewall"
example from the tinc web site:
(home) <--> (masquerading firewall) <--> (office)

Keywords (labels) support via virtual folders
Hi all,
while I am rather a beginner when it comes to IMAP, I was thinking
whether it would be possible (and feasible) to implement setting and
unsetting of IMAP keywords with the means of virtual folders in
Dovecot.
The background is that the IMAP keywords seem to be a very useful
thing to me: I would often like to be able to 'tag' a message so that
it is easy to group with

OT - Contact center - How to Gmail-like label to incoming email
Hi,
Though this has no direct relation with Asterisk, I think Asterisk users in
Contact Centers might have an interesting answer.
Using Gmail, it's rather easy to label an incoming email so that any related
email (reply) inherits this label and are commonly displayed together in
threads.
Using Google, I found this related RFC5256 (
http://tools.ietf.org/search/rfc5256).

Gmail like virtual mailboxes
I'm new to this list so let me introduce myself: I'm a computer
literate user (I've done some C programming long ago and can run a
Linux system and do some light admin), I've never installed a mail
server before and I'm in the process of migrating my family and my
small business from Gmail (Google Apps) to a virtual server mainly for
privacy reasons. I'm in love with
