fetchmail can't talk to dovecot
Hello,
I have dovecot q1.0-0_22.rc7 up and running on a server: I can read
email from squirrelmail just fine. When I try to download email with
fetchmail, however, I get the result below. Why is that happening? In
dovecot.conf I have:
protocols = imap imaps pop3,
so why should pop3 or imap fail? Where should I look?

IDLE timing issue - dovecot or fetchmail issue?
Hi guys,
Thanks for the great product. We've used dovecot for ages as our
internal mail server and it works great!
I've recently started using fetchmail 6.3.9 (with IDLE enabled) to
download mail from our ISP (Pair networks). The ISP is running Dovecot
1.1.16. I am unable to get the info about the dovecot config at this time.
The IDLE support in fetchmail allows us to deliver

Cannot execute /usr/bin/fetchmail
Hello everyone,
I'm setting up a fetchmail command to run every five minutes so I can
get email from another POP3 account. The fetchmail package was
installed via yum.
I can execute the command manually on the command line. But I'm having
trouble when it's run from cron.
I have noticed that commands run via cron and execute via /bin/sh, so
I tried to run the fetchmail command

VS: Re: v2.2.22 release candidate released
In future release we will add master authentication too. Now you can use api key or doveadm password which are essentially same thing.

I see these messages every time fetchmail pops my mail. I don't understand
what certificates it is talking about, or how to straighten this out.
fetchmail: Server CommonName mismatch: localhost != mail.mydomain.com
fetchmail: Server certificate verification error: self signed certificate
fetchmail: Server certificate verification error: certificate has expired

fetchmail on demand
I hoping this is an RTFM ... and somebody can point me at the correct
'FM' :-)
I've just spent a while setting my new Debian , allways-on box in what I
suspect is a generally useful configuration.
I have fetchmail(1) collect mail from many mailboxes via pop3.
I store these mails in different mboxs according to rules in procmail(1)
I then offer these out to the household via imap

doveadm fetch line wrapping
The manual at http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Tools/Doveadm/Deduplicate
tells how to estimate what will be expunged:
> doveadm -f table fetch -u jane 'guid uid' mailbox a_Box | sort
I wanted to learn the subjects:
> doveadm -f table fetch -u jane 'guid hdr.Subject' mailbox a_Box
In the output, long lines will be broken up, continuation lines starting
with a blank (mostly),

I know they should get a root certificate,

Is there a "better" way to monitor and inbox ?
I have verified all the ports are open, using 993, using ssl, using

fetchmail wakeup
Does someone know, if in the new release of dovecot 2.x.x there is a feature
implemented, that wakes fetchmail or any other program on a client request,
or is the "fetchmail wakeup" plugin still the only way to do this (at least
I've not found any other, and that plugin never worked for me),..

fetchmail problem
In my fetchmail setup it will fetch only 99 mails at a time. And if the mail
numbers are more than 99 it fetch up to 99 and look back same e-mails again
and again. (It won't delete the fetched mails) Could someone please help me
how to fix this problem? Is there any setting in the fetchmail.rc file that
default number of mails to be fetched in a go is max 99 or something like
that?

fetchmail SSL protoco; issue
I am using fetchmail to collect mail from some secondary mail accounts,
among which is hotmail.
So far I have used hotwayd to fetch the mail from hotmail using
httpmail. Hotmail now supports pop3 access, so I decided to change
fetchnail to fetch the mail directly over pop3.
This works, but whatever I try, I get an error message when I run
fetchmail:
Invalid SSL protocol 'SSLv23'

Multiple folders/fetchmail
Hi,
my emails are processed using procmail and stored the following way:
/home/ajung/Maildir/new|cur|tmp
/home/ajung/Maildir/Plone|new|cur|tmp
/home/ajung/Maildir/Python|new|cur|tmp
When I fetch my mail using fetchmail I can only get the mails from
"Maildir". However I can not access other folders like "Plone" or "Python"
(using fetchmail -r Plone). I tried
