SSL Error
I just installed a certificate on my mail server to Postfix and Dovecot.
The certificate is functional on Postfix, but for some reason I keep
getting this error. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

lmtp: Error: Temp file creation to /tmp/ ... failed: No such file or directory on incoming mails with attachments
Dear list,
I'm currently facing problems when receiving eMails with attachments, at
least sometimes.
My mailserver is set up with the tool 'Mailcow', and hence is based on
Dovecot (2.2.22 (fe789d2)) and Postfix.
Usually, there are no problems with receiving mails. If a mail has an
attachment, however, it is possible that the following error occurs

Configuration is not working with Thunderbird
Hi, I'm new to the list (and postfix / dovecot), so if I mistakenly omit
something, then please forgive me.
I cannot log into Thunderbird via IMAP with my configuration. However, I
can check the mail of each user by logging into their user account &
then using the "mail" command. Is there something that is wrong with my
config to not allow me to log into Thunderbird

SSL Error
Oops, on second glance I don't think that error is actually directly
related to what I was doing.
I had been testing to see if the certificate chain was installed
properly by running
openssl s_client -connect mail.example.com:143
But there was no certificate reported in stdout. I thought that error
was related to my test command, but I realize now it's not. I'm still
confused,

Thunderbird Subscription missing
Still not quite got my head around what you are expecting to see.
Presumably folders for other dates in September. Depending on how and
why those folders were created they may not exist.
I do note that you used an ls to show the folders, and I'm assuming from
the config below you are using Maildir, so try an ls -a to show the
hidden folders too (those starting with a .). This should show you

Dovecot panic for one user after upgrading
The EC2 instance that I run Dovecot on (personal mail server) was
forcibly "retired" yesterday, and as a result I ended up rebuilding from
backups. In the process I switched from Ubuntu Precise to Ubuntu Xenial
(12.04 to 16.04), and this in turn caused me to upgrade Dovecot from
2.0.19 to 2.0.22. Now, although accessing mail seems to work OK using my
various clients, I am seeing

dovecot/auth CPU spikes
Hi All,
I have recently moved by webmail server from a VPS to a hosted dedicated server running Ubuntu 16.04.
Everything is fine except that login is particularly and consistently long (around 4-5 seconds).
I have noticed that the process dovecot/auth seems to eat all of the resources of one of the cores available on the host during login. The authentication backend is a postgres database which

Automatic purging of old email in all mailboxes
I am using a postfix + Dovecot server as a test mail server for which some
applications in our test environment use as a target to deliver email so
that our real endusers don't receive messages from our test servers.
A few of the mailboxes in Dovecot receive hundreds of emails per day. I'd
like to automatically remove all emails in all mailboxes and mailbox
folders that were received

Why do you think you should be seeing folders for every single day?
Do your users create a new folder each day and migrate mails in there?
Do you have a sieve script that is filtering incoming mail into daily
folders?
