All messages in double in a virtual mailbox.
Hello, I've got some virtual maiboxes that are configured as follows : !RealMail.Sent RealMail.Sent all In all those mailboxes, all the messages appears in double. I don't think it's the expected behaviour, but I perhaps missed something. Here's my dovecot -n : # 1.2.15: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.32-bpo.5-amd64 x86_64 Debian 5.0.7 log_timestamp:

2.2.33.2 - Virtual Mailbox Issue bug maybe ?
So virtual/combined was meant to combine INBOX/Sent/Drafts and virtual/all display them in a threaded manner .. at least that was the intention ... rgds Matt > Aki Tuomi <mailto:aki.tuomi at dovecot.fi> > 18 February 2018 at 11:10 pm > > Uhm. > > combined folder seems to use INBOX for saving mails and contains mails > from Sent and Drafts. > > Not sure what your

2.2.33.2 - Virtual Mailbox Issue bug maybe ?
Been experimenting with virtual mailbox and have a question :- I have defined 2 virtual mailboxes 'all' and 'combined' as follows ... virtual/all/dovecot-virtual virtual/combined inthread refs x-mailbox INBOX virtual/combined/dovecot-virtual !INBOX INBOX/Sent INBOX/Drafts all When new mail comes I would assume that both virtual mailboxes should actually see the message

dsync deleting too many emails (sdbox)
I'm using dsync to synchronize emails on a laptop where wifi connectivity sometimes fails in the middle of a sync. I have a shell script that runs dsync, and here is one line of it including the output of dsync: + dsync -f -m realmail mirror /home/paulproteus/projects/ssh-attach/run ssh rose.makesad.us dsync dsync-local(paulproteus): Error: dbox

virtual mailbox / INTHREAD use case, issues, questions
For over a year now, I've been trying to acquire the ability to review the thread history of a message in my INBOX while still deleting messages as soon as I believe I'm done with them. Suddenly I'm gratified to see that several approaches have been right under my nose all along! One is the INTHREAD imap extension, which I see is implemented by dovecot. Another (related) is

Whether the THREAD command support cross-mailbox thread?
In the real world, the mails which belongs to one thread could be dispersed in different mailbox, at least Inbox and SENT, so whether the command can search different mailboxes and grap them in one talk with dovecot? If Not, any other approach to do that? BTW, what the THREAD=REFS stands for? In the RFC, http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5256, i didn't find this algorithm.

Help for UID THREAD and SORT optimization
Hello, we are developing a library to show last arrived messages of all threads in a folder with more than 300k messages. As per the RFC 5256, the IMAP thread command has only the option to specify the grouping criteria (REFERENCES vs ORDEREDSUBJECT). So we implemented an algorithm which gets the full UID SORT ordered by date in reverse order then gets all thread relations and then post

problem with virtual plugin/index files?
Hello, Timo: on Oct 29th I wrote ---- with latest 2.0.6 (601065674f74), the following virtual mailbox is not behaving correctly. I'm quite sure that the problem has not existed in some earlier 2.0.x (maybe only INBOX as mailbox then though): ~user/Maildir/virtual/.week/dovecot-virtual contains INBOX INBOX.* -INBOX.Trash inthread refs younger 604800 This works as expected for the first

Virtual mailboxes and subfolders
Hello again, I'd like to know if there is a way to have subfolders in virtual mailbox? In my virtual namespaces, I have some virtual maiboxes named like this : Mailbox Mailbox.SubMailbox (the separator is '.') But when I try to access the submailbox, depending on my client, it either : - Tells me the mailbox doesn't exists (Roundcube) - Don't show me
