welcome plugin
Hello, Thank you. My configuration is below. It looks like a perm problem, i've set +r on the directory and it is readable. One other thing I noticed when going through the log the testuser logs in, then logs out. Then logs in again, and then gets the error. Any ideas why the two logins? I see this all the time, a log in log out, then another log in log out then the email transaction.

several misc questions, public folders and sharing, quota, ssl
Hello, I'm running dovecot 2.29 on a freebsd 10.3 system. I'm wanting to optimize how the system is running and have a few misc questions. First ssl, is my cipher list good? I'm trying for pfs and wanting to ensure these cipherlist is appropriate: ssl_cipher_list = EECDH+AESGCM:EDH+AESGCM:AES256+EECDH:AES256+EDH Next, a new feature that I'm trying for is virtual folders that

several misc questions, public folders and sharing, quota, ssl
Hi Aki, Thanks for your reply. Sorry, hit the reply to and not the reply to all option. So, even when a folder is a public folder I'm still needing to use the acl plugin? The public/TestFolder is showing up, the public/TestFolder1 is not. Thanks. Dave. On 4/14/17, Aki Tuomi <aki.tuomi at dovecot.fi> wrote: > Please keep responses on the list. welcome plugin
Hello, Perms are 775 on that folder. If you've got a working configuration can you do a doveconf -n and let me see it? I'd like to compare yours to mine. And if you've got a working welcome script i'd like to see that as well. Thanks. Dave. imap-login: Fatal: pipe() failed: Too many open files
Hi I keep on getting errors and can't connect/login to Dovecot. I did my research but unfortunately without success. It is for sure not ulimit because ulimit is set to unlimited per default already. Still , it complains about "Too many open files" but this is a test system and the service dovecot and postfix have just been started. No one except me is testing on this system.

bug in indexer/indexer-worker
Hi, I have already mentioned this in http://www.dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2014-November/098592.html I could reproduce the errors above in a self-compiled v2.2.18 and the prebuilt packages from xi.rename-it.nl (in addition to version 2.2.15 mentioned in the link) The problem occurs when enabling fts_tika in the plugins (tried tika 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8). I tried to move a folder of my mailbox

Thunderbird bug, anyone else have seen it?
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=541130 The bug I see is using thunderbird 24.6 which is the latest update on centos 6.5. The issue is that every time I open an email with some "+" somewhere in the source (which I didn't traced yet) I get annoying message: An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for thunderbird. Per my earlier post about system and virtual users, I have everything working, but I'm seeing the following message, and wondering: 1) does it matter? 2) is there a way to suppress it? patch for ssl_prefer_server_ciphers in dovecot 2.1
Dear all, I tried to do a backport of 'ssl_prefer_server_ciphers' (http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-2.2/rev/897484f45a87/) to Dovecot 2.1 (namely the Debian version of Dovecot) and wanted to ask if there is any chance to integrate this feature into Dovecot 2.1 'upstream' as well. As the code structure changed quite a bit, I am not sure if my patch is complete. I tested it with pop3s

Sieve 0.5.0/Dovecot 2.3.0
Using 2.3.0/0.5 and the below scripts/config, why doesn?t a mail addressed to ler_freebsd at lerctr.org get the FreeBSD flag? .dovecot.sieve points to master.sieve. Apache + SSL: default configuration rated "C" by Qualys Labs
Hi, I'm currently experimenting with a public server running CentOS 7. I have half a dozen production servers all running Slackware Linux, and I intend to progressively migrate them to CentOS, for a host of reasons (support cycle, package availability, SELinux, etc.) But before doing that, I have to figure out a few things that work differently under CentOS. Apache and SSL behave quite

Dovecot dsync not replicating ".dovecot.sieve -> .sieve/managesieve.sieve" / setactive
Hello, I've ran into problem with Dovecot and dsync replication. Everything works perfectly, including replication of sieve scripts, except fact that if user activates the 'managesieve' ruleset (I'm using currently Roundcubemail) on "mail1" host, it wouldn't be activated on "mail2" host, by creating symlink ".dovecot.sieve ->
