FTS error Unknown user
Hi, sorry for previous message, i accidentaly send it before it was complete. Recently, i was configuring a setup with one proxy, which is doing authentication and multiple backends, which doesn't have access to user database (see https://www.mail-archive.com/dovecot at dovecot.org/msg70123.html ). Now i wanted to use FTS (solr) on backends but i'm getting this error everytime

Possible solr and indexing bug
Bug Report: We had one of our solr server down for a while, then observed a lot of "Warning: fscking index file " actions. Version 2.2.27 with auto fsck. A follow up investigation shows direct one to one relationship between solr error and subsequent fscking. The fscking lasts for quite a long time (for at least an hour) when the mailbox is concurrently accessed. Thank you. Netfront

[Bug] FTS double escaping
Hi, i'm trying to resolve few problems with indexing 'From' headers using FTS/Solr. I was tcpdumping the communication between Dovecot and Jetty/Solr and noticed that 'From' headers, which includes also sender's name, are double escaped. This is what was Dovecot sending to Solr: </field><field name="from">Name Surname <test at

[Bug] FTS invalid address parsing
Hi, i found another bug in FTS while parsing quoted-printable/base64-encoded sender's name inside 'From' header (again, i was figuring out why some of messages cannot be searched). Header: From: =?UTF-8?Q?A=2CB?= <test at example.com> Data send to Solr by Dovecot: <field name="from">A@, B <test at example.com></field> Header:

dovecot fts-solr + solr 8.7.0 upgrade: "Indexing failed: 401 Unauthorized" + "Transaction commit failed: FTS transaction commit failed: backend deinit" ?
I've built a new dovecot + fts-solr instance; I've now picked up & am running the recently released solr 8.7.0. In a test account, I've one message -- in the 'Drafts' folder. On exec of fts 'index' doveadm index -u testuser at example.com -q '*' I get a 401 unauthorized indexing failure, only for the one dir+message in 'Drafts', 2020-11-13

indexer-worker crashes handling mails with big attachments (dovecot 2.2.16/2.2.18 + FTS Apache Solr + Tika)
Hi, yesterday i tried to setup Dovecot with Solr (3.6.2) + Tika (1.8) for FTS. i used a fresh Debian 8.0 system in the beginning with Dovecot 2.2.13 from the Debian repository. After i got some issues with Tika/Dovecot and i read on the mailinglist that these problems where fixed in 2.2.14+, so i tried 2.2.18. With 2.2.18 i get panics with big (ok... huge) attachments. Most mailboxes (and their

fts-solr indexer-worker connects to wrong solr host dovecot-2.2.4
Hello. We're setting up fts solr and want to have the solr server host be set per-user via UserDB. It looks like if a user connects and fts indexes mail, and then another user connects and indexes mail, indexer-worker is connecting to the first user's fts host: User1, hammer at rp-auth-test.com connects, does a SEARCH for the first time, indexer-worker gets UserDB settings and

FTS-Solr: indexer-worker does not find mailbox
Greetings, I am running Dovecot v. 2.2.13 on a Gentoo Box. Mail users are virtual, data for them is stored in a MySQL-DB, Sieve is enabled and deliver is the LDA in conjunction with Postfix. This setup has been running for a few years now without problems, the configuration works. Some weeks ago the setup was still on a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS box, and Dovecot was v. 2.0.9. I've installed a

dovecot only partially indexing ... fts
hi, I have a setup using solr as fts, however it seems that when I move messages it does not automatically index the stuff. Also, when using sieve scripts to store messages in different folders I get: dovecot: indexer-worker(user): Indexed 0 messages in testfolder If I get a mail to normal INBOX I get dovecot: indexer-worker(user): Indexed 1 messages in INBOX doveadm index -u user '*'
