I've seen this plugin, but I fear that it will be enabled for all users.
I don't have seen an way to enable it only for 1 user like rawlog permits.

Yes, the problem is the compatibility with the mysql library but I stull can't figure
out how this might affect reading/writing.

JMAP support in Dovecot
Hi!
We are working on including JMAP support to Dovecot. At this moment I cannot give any promise for exact version, but hopefully it will be part of v2.3

Passing information from passdb to userdb
The best way to is to use auth_request_set_userdb_field(request, key,
value);
and it will be available in userdb.

Passing information from passdb to userdb
I'm trying to hack together a new authentication back-end and I wanted to know if it's possible to pass values from passdb to userdb in the auth_request structure at authentication time. I modified struct auth_request in auth-request.h to contain a new variable and it gets set properly in my passdb, however the value is not there when checking for it userdb.
I'm very novice when it

JMAP support in Dovecot
Hi Marcus
Thanks for your helpful reply.
Do you know what is going on with JMAP development into Dovecot 2.5?
It's difficult to get any sort of information from the roadmap and there are no Dovecot forums.
One of the main reasons I'm interested in JMAP is because of Roundcube Next and also the other clients it will power. Sadly, there has been little going on and having emailed Thomas,

JMAP support in Dovecot
Hi Aki,
Someone just asked in the bug for Thunderbird for this, so...
Is there a git branch that they could use to start playing with what is
there? If not, any idea when that might happen?
It sounds like someone following the Thunderbird bug is interested in
working on this, but they obviously need something to test against.
Thanks,
Charles

JMAP support in Dovecot
Hello Aki,
Well, it has been over 3 years since I last asked...
You had said initial JMAP support would hopefully make it into 2.3.
Since it didn't, I'm hoiping it isn't too far away.
There is some movement with the new Thunderbird team on this, but they
can't really start serious work on adding JMAP support until there is a
server implementation to test against.
Is JMAP

No passdbs specified in configuration file with passdb/userdb in protocol sections
hi-
i have a configuration in which i'm using different passdb/userdb settings for each of imap, lmtp and smtp [without getting too far off on a tangent, this is so ldap group membership can be used to independently control authorization for receiving [lmtp], retrieving [imap], and sending [smtp/postfix] of email. each passdb/userdb uses a different search filter.]
when i use this as my

Use 1 userdb and LDAP passdb for mailbox without allow_all_users
Hello everybody,
I have a little pb with dovecot. I have been read on archive of dovecot mailing list that it's possible to have 1 static userdb with LDAP passdb (http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2010-November/055193.html) but when I try it I have an error message and my message is on the queue with "temporary failure"

Lookup master userdb used with GSSAPI causes auth-worker to report "Error: BUG: PASSL had invalid passdb ID"
Hello to everybody,
I'm in the process of setting up test mail server (Ubuntu 19.10 amd64
running as VM under Hyper-V) and got stuck on configuring master user
authentication. I use GSSAPI authentication in parallel with PLAIN/LOGIN
(pam backend that authenticates against my Active Directory domain) and
this works as intended. I then tried adding simple static master passdb
that simply

Using userdb/passdb data in director_username_hash
TL;DR:
Can director_username_hash use %{userdb:...} or %{passdb:...} ?
====================================
This is on Ubuntu Precise, running dovecot 2.2.36. It's a fully production,
director-ized env, so assume everything is working correctly. Happy to post
doveconf if it's relevant but wanted to ask a general question first.
I was curious if there's a way to get userdb/passdb
