Actually, there are packages there that have the 2.2.27 release in there, but they are not marked as such. Ever since the git move I haven't finished fixing the automatic version updates. It is still

RES: RES: v2.2.27 released
I don't see it, and can't really think of a good reason why it would happen. This happens in configure? And the first thing you ran was configure, right? No autogen.sh or autoconf/automake? -bash-4.1# cat /etc/redhat-release CentOS release 6.8 (Final) -bash-4.1# uname -a Linux test-centos6.dovecot.net 2.6.32-642.6.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Oct 5 00:36:12 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64

Debian: Dovecot 2.3.0.1 won't start if dovecot-pop3d is missing
Aki Tuomi, Fri, 02 Mar 2018 20:06:35 +0200: > the problem is default > ?protocols = imap pop3? Ah, OK. I wasn't aware that the default had changed. It seems to be protocols = imap pop3 lmtp now. > packaging should use > protocols = > protocols = $protocols imap Yep, explicitly setting protocols = before !include_try /usr/share/dovecot/protocols.d/*.protocol helps. Pigeonhole 0.4.20 source archive based on v. 0.4.20-rc1?
Hi, looking at the source archive of pigeonhole 0.4.20 <https://pigeonhole.dovecot.org/releases/2.2/dovecot-2.2-pigeonhole-0.4.20.tar.gz> I noticed that the contained ChangeLog mentions v0.4.20.rc1 as first entry and pigeonhole-version.h defines git revision 7cd71ba as version where I'd expect 4a55e6c. This is probably no big deal. But since Makefile.in and install-sh also differ (see

Authentification fails in dovecot 2.3.0.1
Hi I've upgraded dovecot from 2.2.22 to 2.3.0.1. Now I can't authenticate any longer. My mail client says that the user name and password are rejected by dovecot. I get this line in /var/log/auth.log: Mar 6 19:28:02 desktop auth: PAM audit_log_acct_message() failed: Operation not permitted And this in /var/log/dovecot.log: Mar 06 19:28:02 auth: Debug: Loading modules from directory:

Thanks Timo. Given the age of these dovecot packages, and this being on debian oldstable, what should we do next? I'm inclined to just delete the email in question and move on. Debian: Dovecot 2.3.0.1 won't start if dovecot-pop3d is missing
Hello, given a Debian 9 system with Dovecot 2.2.34 installed from self-built packages made from the official tarball combined with Stephan Bosch's debian files (upgraded multiple times from packages made in a similar way). Today, I updated this system to 2.3.0.1 from the official repository at repo.dovecot.org. After the update, dovecot wouldn't start because of: > dovecot: master:
