dsync for subscription on public/shared folder
Hello,
I already wrote regarding that, but maybe it sounded too complex. I will
write it a bit softer now.
The replication through dsnyc works perfectly with one exception. I am
having an issue with the replication of the subscriptions file on shared
folder.
We have a public mailbox defined:
namespace public-test {
location = maildir:/opt/mail/_public/test
prefix = public/test/

smbpasswd vs passwd to change
Not sure if someone here can answer this for me. The OpenLDAP guys
have blown me off on this one.
I have a standalone server which is using ldap as the passdb backend.
I can ssh into an account. I can show that "smbclient works -L
localhost -U ldaptestuser" works. If I change the password using
smbpasswd both still work with new password. If i change the password

Thunderbird subscription bug ?
Hello Timo,
I'm having a hard time trying to understand why Thunderbird 3.0.3 doesn't allow
me to subscribe to a shared mailbox which I can subscribe to via Kmail for
instance.
I'm running dovecot-1.2.11/Maildir. The user 'doveimap' shares his mailbox
folder/subfolder to the 'dovepop' user which should see it in the '#shared'
shared namespace at the following

externpass
Hello,
If I change the password in the Voicemail-Menu without externpass, the
password gets changed correctly. But if I use a extern script, the password
is still the same as before.
What do I have to do in my external script to change the password in the
asterisk's memory, too?
Thanks for your help!!

Question about Dovecot-ACLs
Hi there,
i try to create an php-script to control acl's for public folders
without file-manipulation.
For this i use imap_setacl() like this example:
imap_setacl($mbox,"INBOX/test", "email at domain.tld", "lrwstipekxa");
The acl-file looks so:
~:> cat dovecot-acl
user=email at domain.tld akxeilprwts
But i have a problem with the follow function:

Seeing other people subscribed non-shared mailboxes
Hello Timo,
With dovecot-2.0.8/Maildir, in a simple shared mailboxes setting I noticed the
following :
- user "doveimap" has 2 mailboxes : "Common" and "Private"
- he shares only the "Common" mailbox to user "dovepop" doing :
x setacl "Common" dovepop lrwstipekxacd
x OK Setacl complete.
- he subscribed to both

Possible RENAME bug
Hello, I'm having some trouble working on a webapp managing the imap tree on Dovecot.
The same doesn't happen on other imap servers (e.g. Cyrus).
Looks like if I receive shared folders from another user, and try to rename a folder in it, the rename command returns "ok", then if you list the new folder name, it isn't there.
Looks like you've lost all the original folder

Shared Mailboxes Not Visible
OK, gurus, I've spent the last 2 days crawling through all of the posts
and web postings regarding shared folders, and I simply cannot get it to
work. I'm sure that there is something simple that I've overlooked, but
cannot for the life of me see it :)
Here's my current config:

Which is faster, calling helpers or rendering a partial?
Using partials is a nice way to separate chunks of content into
separate pages as opposed to building strings in helpers, but I''m
wondering which is faster. It scares me when I see stuff like:
Rendered users/_public (0.00051)
Rendered users/_public (0.00009)
Rendered users/_public (0.00008)
Rendered users/_public (0.00008)
