Renumbering UID on messages
I am having a problem with Horde due to large variations in email UID
for a few users.
At one time they were receiving thousands of emails a day, they have
deleted all these messages but because they still have early emails in
the mailbox the UID range from start to now is massive.
We use Horde webmail and it creates an internal array based on range of
messages but due to large UID range it eats

./configure not checking solr deps
It seems that when you run ./configure with --with-solr it does not check for deps libcurl and libexpat.
When we compiled it silently went though and still compiled without a problem then missed installing solr.
Maybe im missing something?

Solr issue with Zlib
I have found that if you the fts_solr plugin is listed after Zlib it will cause an indexing problem where any message
that was compressed with Zlib is submitted to solr without being uncompressed. The order of the plugins is important.
Not sure if this can be fixed but im trying to add a wiki note.

Error: file_preallocate in logs
I am getting lots of these messages in my imapd.log or while I am doing mailbox operations on the terminal.
All my mailboxes are stored on NFS and ive set the nfs locking params in the config, only one mailserver accessing this
share.
Any ideas why this would be happening?

Index-cache sizes
I had a customer with an INBOX cache of 400MB+ (5.5GB maildir) which
gave me "Error: mmap_anon(474165248) failed: Cannot allocate memory"
errors, then I deleted the cache files and ran 'doveadm index -u
xxx at example.com "*"', now the INBOX cache is 7MB
What is up with that? Is the cache now missing something or does it make
sense to wipe cache files and reindex

FTS Solr errors using doveadm
Solr 7 returns JSON by default but fts_solr requires XML.
Would be good to have wt=xml added to the query to force it to xml all the time, this would prevent errors if solr has
not had xml set as default for index.

Solr with shared mailboxes
We have multiple logins assigned to single mailboxes, so we can give one login to different devices.
Does this cause a problem with mailbox guids in solr or is the ID stored within the indexes and not related to username.

doveadm search when using solr problems
Is there a way when using doveadm to search a users mailbox to disable using solr plugin (without changing config file).
We have found that solr does not work well with certain search types and reverting to non solr searching works much better.

[nbdkit PATCH 3/3] RFC swab: Re-enable .extents
This reverts commit 2c5aec42cf04c567639bd885cf12a57192229215.
Now that we have an easy way to generate aligned extents from the
plugin, where the client will never see an unaligned extent
transition, it's time to put it to use.

Samba-Share and problems with archives and CRC-Check
Hello Samba-Team,
I have some problems with Samba and winrar-archives.
Everytime I save a winrar-archive (don't know what happens to zip-archives...) on a samba-share and execute it (on W2K) I get errors like "CRC-Error. The file may be corrupt...". Also copying the file to W2K first and then executing brings the same error-message.
Without saving the .rar-archive to samba (only

Question regarding hypergeometric 2f1 function
Hi,
I'm an R newbie and I've got a question regarding a certain function in R. I
need to calculate values of the hypergeometric 2f1 function (hyp2f1 in
cephes math library, Hypergeometric2f1 in Mathematica) and I'm wondering if
anyone has tried to implement it in R or S-Plus. If not, what would be the
prefered way to do so? Should I rather try to use an external C module or
implement
