CentOS samba MS Word corruption
We're using CentOS samba for about 20 workstations, mostly XP, some 2000 and two win98. Samba shares a data directory with Word, Excel and Access documents/db's. Also Exact for Dos is running from this share (executable and data). The users experience a long delay every morning opening the first Word document (Word 97, Word 2000). This could take 10 minutes or so. If they close

pam_time.so and /etc/security/time.conf
I am investigating how to limit user logins via sshd to specific times of day. I have the basic syntax but what I want to know is how does pam_time.so process time.conf. Say I have a clutch of users that should login between 07:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday. I infer that the following will handle that: sshd;*;*,Wk0700-1800 However, what is not clear to me is how does one permit certain

still having dsync issues after upgrading to latest
Trying to migrate a bunch of users with mbox format to maildir format. dsync creates some directories, but otherwise does nothing. (Complained about the lack of "/" as separator until I added that to config, now is silent when running dsync except with the -D flag) I have tried dumping all the dovecot that came with my OS and built the latest sources, hoping I'd at least get a

Hi, Our setup: Samba (classic) DC: cdr-dc01 Samba (classic) member server: cdr-fs01. This is also a file server AD realm: CDR.internal We migrated to AD and came across an issue with accessing shares. The shares in question worked pre-migrated. i.e using a windows machine a user was able to access that share. The share in question was locked down to just that user Post migration, we are able
