Performance settings for 500-1000User/per day
hi,
we have 2.0.13 running and most works well, but today we had some minor
problems: The IMAP login process takes sometimes to much time. Over
webmail (Roundcube 0.5.0.3) login wasn't sometimes possible, the normal
clients hasn't any problems, until they login.
We had only ~ 20-30 active accounts, but 50-60 sessions. The most are
Apple products (Ip*/Mac/. ..)because they have 4 sessions

DoveCot 2.0.9: Problem with some Clients and separator (migrate from Cyrus)
hi,
we had to move from a old dieing Sparc very quickly our Cyrus IMAP Users
to Dovecot. Most things works, but some Clients (like Evolution or
Thunderbird) are strange. Our separator in Dovecot2 is "^", the
mailboxes on the filesystem are something like
"INBOX.subfolder1.subfolder2", but in TB and Evo I see
INBOX^subfolder1^subfolder^
In Roundcube Webmail, I have just a

Also, please provide an example scenario; i.e., for one problematic
delivery provide:
- The values of the variables substituted in the dovecot-lda command
line; i.e., provide that command line.
- The incoming e-mail message.
Regards,
Stephan.

Roundcubemail problem with Dovecot
I am getting "Connection to storage server failed." in roundcubemail.
On doing a google search If find:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=473
Which puts the problem at dovecot. I did get a dovecot update back on
3-5 and that would match to my one roundcube mail user complaining and
the delays I am seeing with thunderbird and outlook users.
So with my setup, I am trying to

Webmail architecture : questions about cache and storage backend

I have some questions about dovecot-2.1 and need some advice about

that is currently in a pre-alpha stage (if you are curious you can have

invalid/unknown path to storage
Am I correct: pigeonhole now wants the symlink to the filter file to use
an absolute path instead of the relative paths we had?
i.e.) sieve-filterfile@ -> /home/mail/domain/user at domain/roundcube.sieve
instead of sieve-filterfile@ -> roundcube.sieve
Dovecot logs these:
dovecot: managesieve(user at domain.org): Warning: sieve-storage: Active sieve script symlink

It still doesn't make sense to me. I do notice that the version you're
using is ancient (dated 26-09-2013), which may well the problem.
Do have the ability to upgrade?

Stephan.

v2.2.36 to v2.3.8 maildirlock bug
Hello,
Aki created this patch a while ago: http://files1.directadmin.com/services/custombuild/patches/maildirlock-crash.patch
It works perfectly to fix the issue :) Regarding dsync - I don't think it's a good replacement in all the cases, is it? We use maildirlock extensively for compression of email folders (when zlib compression is enabled in dovecot, old emails remain untouched).
