sieve-filter to script fails with SHUT_WR
Trying to make vnd.dovecot.filter to exchange an email with my script. (I have a vnd.dovecot.pipe script working, so I'm pretty sure it's not the configuration...) I'm passing the email using stdin/stdout and _not_ using sockets. My script receives the email and processes it, but the filter process fails: lda(<username>): Error:

How to log a Sieve match in Dovecot debug_log
Hi everybody! I manage a mail server running Dovecot 2.2.21 with Pigeonhole 0.4.10. I successfully configured sieve and use it also to filter some spam messages. Here is one of the script I use to filter messages on the basis of prohibited words in message body. As you can see, the last command writes to the log the action of this script. -- the script begins ------------ require

Sieve: carry global variables from sieve_before to user sieve scripts
Hi! Is there a way to initialize global variables with default values in sieve_before scripts that can be used in the sieve_default script or in user scripts? I've tried the following code but this doesn't work.. before.d/10-set-defaults.sieve: -------------------- 8< -------------------- require ["variables", "include"]; require "vnd.dovecot.debug"; set

execute sieve command - fails to notice script has exited
Hi, Running dovecot 2.2.27 (c0f36b0) on Debian GNU/Linux stable (version 9.6), I'm trying to use the execute command in a sieve script, with direct execution (not service socket). The script is executed, and returns (the process exits), but the dovecot-lda process seems to not notice, and thinks the script did not terminate. After sieve_execute_exec_timeout has passed, it sends a TERM, a bit

Trying to do antispam with Sieve
Hi, Using https://wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/AntispamWithSieve I'm trying to execute scripts when moving to/from Spam folder, however nothing's happening. The actions are: 1. Move to Spam: redirect :copy "spamcop_spam at domain.local"; 2. Move from Spam: redirect :copy "spamcop_ham at domain.local"; Here's the configuration I'm working with: doveconf: Warning:

Generalized looping possible in pigeonhole sieve?
I'm struggling to achieve the kind of filtering with sieve that I was able to do with procmail. TL;DR I'd like a way to loop through a set of (address, destination) pairs in sieve so that I can maintain the (address, destination) pairs in one place and not have to explicitly write scores of nearly identical [...] if address :matches ["From", "Sender",

How to log a Sieve match in Dovecot debug_log
Hi Volker! This is what I wanted to avoid with my question. I reported my script with only three word just to make an example but my list is quite longer than this. Let's suppose a list of 30 or 40 words... 30 or 40 rules? Possible but very unconfortable to manage. A more compact version of the script could be this: -- the script begins ------------ require ["fileinto",

duplicates with multiple To/CC and sieve redirect copy
Hi, In one installation we are using sieve "redirect :copy" to create copy of the incoming email (local boss gets copy of its employees mails). There is a problem when the incoming email has multiple To/CC entries with local users. Multiple copy/redirects are created (one for each employee) and there are multiple copies in "boss" account. Each of this emails has the same

imapsieve: Change message flags on COPY
Hello, I'm trying to do a simple thing using imapsieve, I want messages to be marked as read when moved to certain folders (Trash, Archive, Spam). All the set up to run the imapsieve script works perfectly, but I'm having trouble to make changes effective. As the RFC says, IMAP messages are immutable, but it's not clear to me reading the specs if this applies to IMAP flags too, as one

Sieve to process list mail based on list-ID
Before I spend a lot of time trying to replicate a procmail script that automatically sorts list mail into mailboxes based on the List-ID header (and possibly some other data) I thought I'd check if someone had already done this for sieve. Basically, what I do now in procmail is 1. Get the listname from the List-ID header (or List-post/List-owner if no ID) 2. check against a list of

sieve_extprograms - double linebreaks at filtering
Hello List, i have a problem when using sieve-plugin sieve_extprograms. I use dovecot 2.2.18 and bundled pigeonhole 0.4.6 (Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS) i have enabled sieve_extprograms and vnd.dovecot.filter to send mail to user-defined script and get changed content back. My script previously was used with procmail and is working fine. Using same script with vnd.dovecot.filter leads to odd behavior. I

Problems with Sieve and vnd.dovecot.pipe
Hello all! I have changed my mailserver from spamassasin and procmail to rspamd and sieve. Rspamd is working, but with some sieve script I still have problems. I have created a script to learn spam: haiko at SERVERNAME:~$ sudo cat /var/vmail/sieve/global/learn-spam.sieve require ["vnd.dovecot.pipe", "copy", "imapsieve"]; pipe :copy
