Changing Password Schemes
Good Day, I have been following this tutorial without much luck - http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/ConvertPasswordSchemes#CA-26af2b83a43b8100522c57565773f605c21f2f27_1 It is obvious to me that I am not following the instructions correctly and need to be shown what I am misunderstanding. I have an old postfix + dovecot + Roundcube mailserver (mail.domain.Tld). Server clock is loosing time and

index problems after update
Hello List, i have a problem with index-files which is separated in 2 subproblems. May be these problems are connected. Currently we use Ubuntu 18.04 LTS which is bundled with dovecot 2.2.33.2 These servers are fresh installed machines and users are added to the system after, there was no upgrade. Sometimes it happens, that dovecot stops showing new mail. There is no error in log, dovecot just

Dovecot Master User: Access user's mailbox without owner's password
Hi, I hope you're all right. I describe below the scenario where the problem occurs. I'm trying to activate a master user [1] to be able to access all the boxes of all users by imap. I have configured the dovecot-master-users [2] file with the appropriate permissions. When I try to access, for example with roundcube, through user at mydomain.com*my_master_user at not-exist.com I see in the

confused with ssl settings and some error - need help
Thank You for answers. But: 1. How should be properly configured ssl_cipher_list? 2. Ok, removed !TLSv1 !TLSv1.1. 3. Strange thing with ssl_protocols and ssl_cipher_list, because on older server on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, dovecot 2.2.9 and postfix 2.11.0 these two lines looks exactly this same and no errors in mail.err file and mailes works without any problem. 4. No, currently I don't use LMTP.

Public Folder Problems
Hi, I've been trying to get a Public Folder namespace working, so far without any luck. I've tried in my home folder, outside my home folder, with and without acl. I can see the namespace (PUBLIC) in Roundcube, but that's as far as I get. I've put a .FirstFolder under the location, but it never appears. I've added dirs cur, new, and tmp but no difference. Assuming '8' = mail, i cannot see anything wrong here... Can you turn on 'mail_debug=yes' and attempt folder deletion, and check logs after that? I haven't done this on the old, working machine. So there must be a difference between Debian 7 and 9 how open files are handled?
