Postfix and Dovecot LDA vs. LMTP
Thanks Jan. I've been trying to obtain an English copy of the Dovecot book for months, prior to starting this project. So far, I just can't find a copy. It's too bad that the author/publisher won't do a second printing or, if they're not interested in making any more money, then release it to the public domain as a PDF. Very frustrating. Postfix and Dovecot LDA vs. LMTP
Thanks again Jan. I appear to have basic LMTP working now (messages are delivered to virtual mailboxes of valid recipients and non-existent recipients are rejected). Cool. Still lots more work to do. But I think I could really use the Dovecot book. I find the wiki to be lacking in explanation. So, too often I'm just copying without knowing the reason why or how some things fit together.

Postfix and Dovecot LDA vs. LMTP
The most crucial difference is that LDA is intended for delivering email to a *real* user. Bug in str or issue with class management in my package?
Dear developeRs, with R 2.4.1 (and also 2.4.0), the function str() fails on objects of class relimplmbooteval, if there are unused slots, which is very often the case. I am not sure whether this is a bug in str() or a correct behavior of str() that unmasks some sloppiness in my usage of S4 classes (that I am not aware of)? Reproducible example (package relaimpo needed): The program

Working Asterisk with Austrian ISDN p2p
Hi! I'm looking for someone who has successfuly setup an asterisk in austria with isdn in p2p mode and chan_capi. There is is a special problem in austria with DID. If someone is dialing the phone number of the asterisk pbx like 12345-0, zero is passed as an DID, but in Austria u can dial 12345, and the DID which is passed is empty. It seems that asterisk cant handle this. Any ideas?

Problems splicing Asterisk with a TE405P between Arcor E1 PRI and Ericsson Business Phone 250
hi, i'm having problems getting asterisk spliced between an E1 PRI (german Telco Arcor) and an Ericsson Business Phone 250 digital PBX. The Asterisk Server has a TE405P with it's port 1 connected to the E1 PRI provided by our telecommunications provider Arcor and port 2 connected to the E1 PRI of our Ericsson BP250. the setup before: Arcor TelCo PRI(E1)

Bayesian inference: Poisson distribution with normal (!) prior
Hello, for a frequency modelling problem I want to combine expert knowledge with incoming real-life data (which is not available up to now). The frequency has to be modelled with a poisson distribution. The parameter lambda has to be normal distributed (for certain reasons we did not NOT choose gamma althoug it would make everything easier). I've started with the subsequent two functions to

[LLVMdev] int to StringRed conversion
I think the better solution should be: LLVMContext& C = is->getContext(); Value *values[] = { ConstantInt::getSigned(Type::getInt64Ty(C), *scsr*), MDString::get(C, *"path"*) }; lnstr.setMetadata(*"your_analysis_name"*, MDNode::get(C, values)); So that you can take advantage of the type system of LLVM bitcode, and don't have to cast the integers from/to strings

piechart
dear R-community, Is it possible to have one pie chart of a large radius and then a pie chart with smaller radius placed on top of the larger so the centers of the two pie charts coincide? I managed to place a filled circle with smaller radius in the piechart, see below. Thanks in advance, Sybille pie(rep(1,12), col=rainbow(24), radius=0.9, labels=

I have been reading through the WINE documentation for the last week or so and have been unable to solve my problem with Word 97. I can run notepad, mspaint, agent, and freecell with WINE, but when I try to run MS Word 97 I get the following: 1) A message that says: " The Tahoma font is not present. For best

Tracking logins
Hi, I'm using dovecot-2.1.17 on fc18 and wondered if there is some mechanism, perhaps a database, that can store the logins/logouts for each user? I realize there's something already logged to syslog, but I'd like more of a history. While lastlog is great for users that actually login, my dovecot users don't login, just check email via pop and imap. Any ideas greatly

codec review
An article was posted at www.slashdot.org on May 4th about another review of video codecs. The review can be found at: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/codecs-103-1.htm Theora was not one of the seven codecs included in the review. I wonder how much of a window of opportunity exists before the industry stabilizes on a dominant, widely used video codec. The situation still seems to be fairly
