How to limit Apple Mail (desktop)?
By default, Apple Mail downloads all e-mails from server's account. Previous versions of this client allowed to opt-out. The latest two versions? however, only allow to opt-out from downloading the attachments. The stress on the server is unbearable. We cannot ask users to be considerate: this is the default behaviour of Apple Mail. We need a server-side solution to the problem. Please

doveadm: problem listing shared mailboxes using a wildcard
I'm setting up a dovecot server with private and shared namespaces. My test setup has these mailboxes: # /bin/doveadm mailbox list -u fdl01 at spike.test INBOX/sub01 shared shared/sammel01 at spike.test shared/sammel02 at spike.test INBOX In order to do some post-login scripting foo I'd like to get a list of shared mailboxes the user is currently subscribed to. AW: User unknown in local recipient table
Hallo Liste, hallo Ralf, danke schon mal.

Deprecations for schema.xml and newest Solr version (7.2.x)
Hi, the schema.xml example provided for dovecot in /usr/share/doc/dovecot-<verison> does not work anymore with the newest Solr Version (as I know of 7.2.x) because some field classes and filter classes are deprecated in this version. The changes (according to the Solr documentation) would have to be : In the index analyzer : <fieldType name="long"

limit pop login per user and per minute
Hi, like I have written in the subject line I want to limit the pop login per user and per minute. Currently I am having several customers which are fetching their email with popcon (MS Exchange). This has never been a problem. But... They all have got the same "technician" which take care of their systems. The problem is, that he misconfigured the servers of these customers. In

Problem upgrading from 8.0 to 8.1
Hi, I want to upgrade from 8.0 to 8.1 but yum update does not work. Still 8.0 Probably the cause is that I compiled DRBD myself because it was not available for 8.0 when I set up the machine. Now yum update says: Error: ?Problem 1: cannot install the best update candidate for package drbd-pacemaker-9.11.0-1.el8.x86_64 ? - nothing provides pacemaker needed by

under some kind of attack
Hi, Thanks for the quick follow-ups! Much appreciated. After posting this, I immediately started working on fail2ban. And between my initial posting and now, fail2ban already blocked 114 IPs. I have fail2ban with maxretry=1 and bantime=1800 However, it seems almost all IPs are different, and I don't think I can keep the above settings permanently. Robert, your iptables suggestions are
