kerberos database principal problem
Hello,
I am using kerberos to authenticate apache users. This works fine for
one URL, but it doesn't for another.
I can get into the application authenticating at the URL
omajelut01.sec.jel.lc, but not with monitoring.foobar.com. Here is my
klist:
[root at omajelut01 etc]# klist -k
Keytab name: FILE:/etc/krb5.keytab

output data by date?
Dear Helpers,
I have a dataset X, with no missing values, everything is in order, R reads
it correctly, and I have already done some statistical analyses on the
dataset. The data are in order by date (six sampling dates in one year,
earliest to latest) and I now want to generate boxplots for each parameter
for each date.
However, R outputs the boxplots in some order that I do not understand (eg.

OpenSSH3.0p1/PAM/Sol8
Hi there,
I just tried out OpenSSH3.0p1 running on Solaris 8 with PAM (--with-PAM).
The problem was mentioned some time ago and is still there :-(
When a password is expired you are prompted to change it now, enter your
login password and after doing so you are instantly disconnected. I think
this is a problem with PAM and not SSH, but how can I get a solution on this
?

HostbasedAuthentication problem
I'm trying to use HostbasedAuthentication. Running ssh -v -v -v user at host
the following error occurs:
debug3: authmethod_is_enabled hostbased
debug1: next auth method to try is hostbased
debug2: userauth_hostbased: chost <host>
debug2: we did not send a packet, disable method
What does this mean ? I enabled HostbasedAuthentication in
/etc/ssh/ssh_config and as it looks, this setting

sshd can't change expired password on Sol8 with Openssh3.0p1 + PAM
The reason I ask about the patches is because I think the problem you're
seeing might actually be a bug in pam_unix.so.1 - it's something to try at
least. We don't use password aging and we don't use the "passwd" command
to change passwords, so we haven't run into this at our site even though
we probably don't have pam_unix.so patched up. Also, the passwd

locked account accessable via pubkey auth
maybe this is a silly question ;-) But why is it possible to login on a
machine with a locked account (passwd -l ) via pubkey-authentication
(authorized_keys) ?
I use OpenSSH3.01p1on Solaris8 with PAM support so I thought this should not
happen.
If this is the normal behaviour and built in intentionally what would be the
easiest way to lock an account without deleting the users authorized_keys ?

Centos OS Crash Recovery, Inquiry.
Actually, I am not sure if we have a backup, because honestly, I am not that very much familiar with Centos. We use it for our mail sever for zimbra and other web servers but after setting it up, as long it is working just fine we don't do any other thing.
Does it have an automatic backup system? And if it does, how can we use it to restore it back?
Thanks.

CHRIS

samba4.2.0 crashes on connection attempt with an internal samba error...
Dear Samba fellows,
I try to install samba on my notebook in order to get it into
my samba based domain. It was a bit picky to get everything
assembled on the notebook - but that last issue is hard. :-(
I installed it from the sources on Debian Jessie - exactly
in the same manner I used for my servers. I got sssd and
kerberos working...

Post-login scripting
No, it's entirely my own.
If all you want to do is write client IP addresses to a database then your script will probably fit in 20 lines of code or so.

Post-login scripting
Aha. Looks pretty cool, and it's really nice that it supports HTTP.
On the other hand if I'm rate limiting the number of messages sent = number of times a client said RCPT TO, I guess it still has to be a postfix policy server?
Anyway, thanks for pointing this out, I'm sure I'll use it :-)

Creating IMAP folders/subfolders with Thunderbird
Hi,
I have dovecot-2.2.15 on fedora21 with Thunderbird and having some
difficulty creating subfolders and deleting folders.
Creating subfolders results in a folder at the root with a caret instead
of a slash called folder^subfolder with an entry in .subscriptions with
that name, instead of a new folder under the directory.
I'm also unable to delete any folders. The command from within

Running scripts in hadoop
R-help group,
I'm looking for some assistance on using an R-script to read STDIN from
hadoop.
Example, say I have two tables. One is a student table, the other is a class
roster table (tables join on student_id). Student SAT score is in the
student table, whether the student passed or not is in the roster table.
So to determine if a student passed or failed based on their SAT score, I'd

Dear Sir/s,
As I have mentioned in my previous email, is there a way to recover or bring back to life a crashed Centos OS after doing a Hard Driver repartition or resizing?
Thanks.

'virsh capabilities' on Debian Wheezy-amd64 reports different cpu to Wheezy-i386 (on same hardware)
Hi
On a range of Dell servers containing Intel 64bit processors, 'virsh
capabilities' reports the cpu differently on Debian Wheezy-amd64 and
Wheezy-i386. The results given by the Wheezy-i386 version seem very
wrong (since n270 is an Atom processor). Apart from architecture, the
package versions of libvirt-bin are identical: 1.2.1-1~bpo70+1.
/usr/share/libvirt/cpu_map.xml files are
