Too many references: cannot splice
Hi, A while ago I sent an email regarding these "*ETOOMANYREFS* Too many references: cannot splice." that we've seen since Debian updated the Jessie kernel to 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt20-1+deb8u3 (2016-01-17) x86_64 while older kernels, like 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt11-1+deb8u6 (2015-11-09) x86_64 showed no errors at all. I was wondering if no one

Too many references: cannot splice
Hi, Could you please have a look at https://lkml.org/lkml/2016/2/2/538 and see if this makes any sense to you? I've been checking kernel changes between linux_3.16.7 and linux_3.16.36, and this has popped out. Could this be the reason for the "too many references" errors? Regards, Luis Ugalde. Auto configure email clients from Dovecot?
Hi Friends, I'm using on Debian Jessie, Dovecot 1:2.2.13-12~deb8u3. I would like to know if is it possible to auto-configure the email client, for example Thunderbird or K-9 mail. Essentially I would like to know if is it possible to let dovecot instruct the mail client about how to auto-configure the email client. Actually my mail server parameters are not automatically taken from

No increased throughput with SMB Multichannel and two NICs
Hello, I'm running Samba 4.4.5 with enabled SMB Multichannel. The Linux server has two 1GBit/s NICs and for testing purposes I've shared a tmpfs mountpoint with 2GiB and ~2GiB large test-file. My Windows 10 host has one dual-port 1GBit/s NIC, and if both interfaces are enabled, Get-SmbMultichannelConnection lists active multichannel connections to my Linux SMB server. If I disable one

AD DC Corrupt recycle bin in redirected folders
Hi everyone, First off, I really don't know what to provide so please just ask what is needed. Here's what I think is relevant starting with a brief description: I have samba4 as AD DC for windows 10 clients. Roaming profiles are on a share on the DC and are working perfectly. However, redirected folder, also residing on the DC are not working as expected. I have yet to put my finger on

Samba 2.4.2 as secondary DC to Windows 2008 R2
Dear All, I am running a two location SOHO network with a Microsoft AD on a Windows 2008 R2 server. The only secondary DC is a Microsoft HyperV VM running on the same Windows machine. My aim is to become more independent from Microsoft products. Nevertheless, I need to upgrade my server to Windows 2016 sometime soon. In parallel, I would like to move the active directory to two separate servers
