Virtual mailboxes and subfolders
Hello again,
I'd like to know if there is a way to have subfolders in virtual
mailbox?
In my virtual namespaces, I have some virtual maiboxes named like this
:
Mailbox
Mailbox.SubMailbox
(the separator is '.')
But when I try to access the submailbox, depending on my client, it
either :
- Tells me the mailbox doesn't exists (Roundcube)
- Don't show me

How do I use plus-addressing in Dovecot 1.1.x?
I'm using Postfix, Amavisd-new/SpamAssassin, and Dovecot. They all run
on the same server (running Linux). The mailboxes are stored on the
same server in maildir format.
The logical path for incoming messages (as I understand it) is:
1) received by Postfix; handed off to Amavisd-new
2) Amavisd-new checks to see whether or not it's spam/undesirable;
hands off to Dovecot deliver

folders not visible on copied mail folders
We had a user quit recently. Three days ago I copied his entire Maildir folder to another user
to that user's Maildir/.JoesEmail. I changed ownership and made the permission 'chmod -R
og-rwx .', just like all the other files/directories of the new owner. This didn't work to show
the new folder. Today, in his Thunderbird client, I subscribed to the 'JoesEmail' folder. I

LDAP schema ?
Hi,
I am trying to determine the correct LDAP schema I need to use to have either
mailLocation or mailboxPath available ?
Should I be just adding this to one of my own custom objectClasses ?

plus addressing bug in dovecot 1.1.x?
I had recently upgraded from Dovecot 1.0.14 to 1.1.0, and then to
1.1.1. Ever since the upgrade to 1.1.0, I noticed that "plus
addressing" has failed. In case I'm using a foreign phrase, this is
the concept of sending an e-mail to "user+spam at domain.com", and having
dovecot (dovecot LDA, specifically), deliver this to the "spam"
submailbox to

AD / new auxiliary class / vb script
Hello
I've modified AD schema by adding a new auxiliary class (iscA) with an
auxilairy attribute (iscA1).
I've followed this explanation /_*entirely*_/ :
http://semifershome.free.fr/semifer/index.php?2008/02/12/42-etendre-le-schema-active-directory-classes-attributs-et-display-specifiers
I've named the menu item with the same name (AllowedService). By
right-clicking on a AD user

autocreate mailboxes
Hello,
I just upgraded to Dovecot 2.2.13 from the 2.0 version branch- so far
everything is working great.
I wanted to take advantage of the mailbox option to auto create and auto
subscribe users to a Sent and Trash folder (using the support for the
special use flags), but ideally, I only want to do this for new mailboxes,
and not for all the mailboxes that already exist on the system.

Override maildir for just a few users
Hi all,
Currently, I have mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir set and all passdb
and userdb lookups are SQL based (doveconf -n pasted below).
However, I want to override the users maildir location - and *only* the
maildir location - for just a few users.
I was thinking the easiest way would be to add a simple flat file based
userdb that is checked before the SQL based one, where I can define a

multiple domain and winbind use default domain
Hello
I'm preparing a new fileserver, based on jessie + sernet 4.2.10
packages. the server is bound to a forest, "AD" where users account are
stored, and subdomains "PSI" for computers and some local accounts
The Active directory forest is managed by 2008R2 servers, with rfc2307
attributs filled for accounts.
I'm using "winbind use default domain" because

Adding Share Windows ACL
I found out, when im creating a complete new share, access via computer management - per default there is a share permission set with full controll to "everyone".
When im trying now to set ACLs it is working. But when im deleting "everyone" and set Domain Admins and/or Unix Admins and give them full controll, im no more able to set ACLs!

Cannot delete IMAP Mail-Folder in Trash
We have the same problem, with a twist. When Thunderbird deletes a folder, it is still shown by the GUI. Dovecot deleted the folder correctly, and the sunscriptions file is also correct. Some other times, on shared folders, Thunderbird refuses to delete; in this case, apple mail on iphone can delete successfully. This suggests that the problem is in Thunderbird's code.
