dsync panic
Hi,
I just upgraded from dovecot 2.2.19 to 2.3.2. "doveadm backup" worked fine in v 2.2.19, but now panics (user with shared folder):
/opt/dovecot/bin/doveadm backup -u testuser -1 sdbox:/tmp/testuser
dsync(standl2): Panic: file mailbox-attribute.c: line 360 (mailbox_attribute_get_stream): assertion failed: (value_r->value != NULL || value_r->value_stream != NULL)

I think Davide was asking about dsync. If so, the answer is no: dsync
works only when both servers are Dovecot and needs some additional
configuration to work

Many thanks Wqmi!
Well, I've read the dsync documentation, but this warning has me a
little worried:
"Make sure destination is exactly as source, deleting/reverting any
changes in destination if necessary"
So I followed

Privileges
Hi all!
I need a non-root user to be able to perform zfs snapshots and rollbacks.
Does anybody know what privileges that should be specified in
/etc/user_attr ?

Migrating to mdbox
Hi all,
I think it would be a good idea for me to move from mbox to mdbox, as I
have 57,000 messages in my inbox, and clients hang for a minute whenever
they request a CHECK, or Dovecot feels the need to run one itself.
Looking at past threads:
http://www.mail-archive.com/dovecot at dovecot.org/msg35212.html
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.mail.imap.dovecot/53936
it seems that the safest way

Migrating domain using IMAPc
Hi list,
I'm trying to do a domain migration using the imapc feature, but i'm having
some problems and I really don't know what is happening.
So if you guys could help me with a path to solve this, I will be glad.
I'm using Dovecot 2.1.7 in a Debian Wheezy machine.
The command I'm using is:
dsync -Dv -o imapc_features=rfc822.size -o imapc_host=IP -o imapc_port=143

Transactional/Rollback problems
I''m having a rollback problem with rspec trunk. It doesn''t seem like
rollbacks are happening quite as often as they should be. It
appears as though the rollbacks are *NOT* occurring on the first
description block in a file, but are for the rest. Here is a set of
specs that are failing:
require File.dirname(__FILE__) + "/../spec_helper"

dsync duplicates messages/crashed if a 'large' number of messages has been deleted
Hi,
I try to mirror two dovecots with:
dsync -v -f -u login mirror ssh -o
IdentityFile=/etc/dovecot/dsync.d/id_rsa root at shrike dsync -u login
This usually works, but if I delete a certain number of emails, I get
this messages:
dsync-local(mailverwalter): Info: Posteingang: Ignored 178 modseq changes
dsync-local(mailverwalter): Info: Posteingang: Couldn't keep all uids

test not rolling back
For testing, I use:
self.use_transactional_fixtures = true
This should cause a ROLLBACK for each test case. If I run a single
file, foo_controller_test.rb, it works as expected. I see BEGIN and
ROLLBACK 8 times in the log files. But if I run:
rake test:functionals
I get 3 COMMITs, 196 BEGINS and 193 ROLLBACKs. The code in fixtures.rb
that deals with this is :

Instiki 0.9.2
Instiki 0.9.2 has arrived.
* The notorious "rollbacks by crawlers" bug fixed.
* Instiki is distributed as a gem (experimental)
* New maintainer (yours truly)
* Assorted other minor changes

btrfs problems and fedora 14
I thought I would try btrfs on a new installation of f14. yes, I know
its experimental but stable so it seemed to be a good time to try it.
I am not sure if I have missed something out of all my searching but am

dsync backup questions
Hi,
I'm currently trying to setup remote backups of my emails but i'm running
into issues (mdbox format, indexes and storage in the same folder
hierarchy).
Local backup command: dsync -u "my_user" backup /backups/my_user
(1) Recently, I noticed that the local backup takes up twice the size as
the original mail location (8gb vs. 4gb). I purged alot of emails from the
original

Aw: Re: problem with lda
thanks for your input.
Bill: deliver is just a symlink to dovecot-lda
Stephan: I don't know, and and it even does not work when I use deliver -f "postmaster at ourdomain.internal" - I get the same error message.
A part of the mail I got when using 2.2.23:
Return-Path: <MAILER-DAEMON>
Delivered-To: user1 at ourdomain.internal
Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1])

error bad file number with compressed mbox files
Hello,
can dsync convert from compressed mbox to compressed mdbox format?
When I use compressed mbox files, either with gzip or with bzip2, I can
read the mails as usual, but I find the following errors in dovecots log
file:
imap(userxy): Error: nfs_flush_fcntl:
fcntl(/home/hrz/userxy/Mail/mymbox.gz, F_RDLCK) failed: Bad file number
imap(userxy): Error: nfs_flush_fcntl:
