Mailbox can't be created
Hi,
I have setup postfix master.cf to use dovecot-lda to deliver (using -m)
all messages to PreInbox:
dovecot unix - n n - - pipe
flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/libexec/dovecot/deliver -f
${sender} -a ${recipient} -d ${user}@${nexthop} -m PreINBOX
And enabled lda_mailbox_autocreate.
The message I have now it:

Depends on your way to deliver messages. With Dovecot LDA you could use
the -m option.

Duplicate folder names
Hi,
I have setup message filtering and for example, I might move a message
which a given sender to folder special/. This folder is created and
shows up twice in INBOX/special/ and special/.
They are however exactly the same folder. If I subscribe to one I am
automatically subscribed to the other and viceversa. Not too happy with
this configuration.
I have a feeling this is related to

Cannot access share tevent_req_timedout
Hi all,
I am running an smbclient 3.4.7 on a ubuntu server 10.04.
This is a local network whose hostnames in the network are setup
manually through /etc/hosts. Zeus is a server which contains a music
share which I am trying to access. I haven't created any users or
passwords. The idea is that anyone within the local network should be
able to access the share with read permissions, so I

[LLVMdev] TargetDescription string documentation
Hello,
I am trying to find out where the complete documentation for the
TargetDescription string documentation is.
I am reading the tutorial and looking at the sparc backend at the same
time and there are some discrepancies. Therefore the documentation
would be extremely valuable but I can't seem to find it.
In the tutorial it shows the string "E-p:32:32-f128:128:128",
but the real

Assertion failed in dovecot 0.99.14
Hi,
I am using the dovecot imap server on Linux 2.6.8.1.
I get the following error when running it:
imap(quad): Panic: file index-sync.c: line 25 (index_storage_sync_size):
assertion failed: (messages > ibox->synced_messages_count)
This usually occurs when I use imapfilter to move messages from one
folder to another, while my client (thunderbird) is connected.

Master account
Hi,
Is there an administrator o master account in dovecot, which could be able
too access all mailboxes? I need to periodically delete some emails (older
than a number of days). I wanted to use imapfilter, a program that uses imap
to access mailboxes to do that, but as the users can change their passwords,
I can't do it. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks in advance,

I am confused then. /home/vmail/Maildir is 700 for vmail:vmail. If
dovecot-lda runs as vmail then there's no problem, if it runs as root it
shouldn't face problems either.
How can I determine which user dovecot-lda runs under?
Thanks,

Controllers, what? why?
Hi,
I am starting to learn rails and I went through the guide and a couple
of tutorials. Even though I understand controllers or at least I can
use them I can''t see yet the whole picture.
Why do you need several controllers for a single application? If a
controller is just a class whose methods interface with models and
views, why not have a single controller for the whole application?

[LLVMdev] Is a backend considered an LLVM project?
Hi,
I've been reading the docs, including "Creating an LLVM project", and I
was wondering if this setup also applies to backends.
On one hand it would be good if it did because it would allow one to
develop a backend without tracking the LLVM sources with it. If it is
not possible (and one follows the instruction of the backend
documentation "Writing an LLVM Compiler

Emails not visible after renaming folders
Hello,
I have strange problem with "losing" emails after rename mail
folder(s) (via imap client: thunderbird, roundcude, etc..)
How to reproduce:
1. Create some folder name, like TEST
2. Create sub-folder under TEST (like SUBTEST)
Structure:
TEST
|--SUBTEST
# doveadm mailbox list -u postmaster at testmailbox
Spam
Trash
Sent
Drafts
INBOX
TEST
TEST/SUBTEST
3. Move (or copy)
