Expunged message reappeared to mailbox
Hi,
I'm using dovecot-2.2.18 on fedora22 and receiving the following messages:

file /var/spool/mail/alex: Expunged message reappeared to mailbox (UID

How do I troubleshoot this? Any idea what could be causing it?
I've included my doveconf below.

IMAP Folder Mail Separator
Hi,
I have a fedora21 install with dovecot-2.2.18, and when creating a new
subfolder with thunderbird, the actual folder name is
"Folder1^Folder2" with a carat as a separator, instead of creating
Folder2 in the Folder1 directory.
Is this a thunderbird problem? I don't recall having this problem
prior to upgrading to fedora21, so thought maybe it's a dovecot
problem.
Maybe the

Trying to track down source of duplicate messages
Hi,
I have a fedora28 system with dovecot-2.3.5 and I'm trying to figure
out why I'm increasingly receiving duplicate emails. The message IDs
are exactly the same. It's always two of the same messages. I don't
think it's ever occurred in the inbox. It doesn't happen with every
message or seemingly in every folder.
I've read about dovecot deduplicate, but of course I

Trouble getting listescape plugin to work with "$" separator (as demonstrated in Wiki) in Dovecot 2.2.9
Hello,
I'm attempting to install the listescape plugin so that IMAP users are
able to include periods (.) and forward slashes (/) in IMAP directory names.
I'm following the instructions at
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Listescape , which imply that this can
be accomplished by enabling the listescape plugin and using the dollar
sign ($) as the separator.
With regard to my dovecot

Re: P2V conversion failed with "/run/lvm/lvmetad.socket: connect failed: No such file or directory"
Hi Richard,
Thanks for your response,
We have followed the steps mentioned in
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2015-November/msg00015.html
Now we are able to connect the V2V Conversion Server from Physical server
after booting from livecd.
Once ssh connection established, "Start Conversion" opens up another UI
which has necessary info. of hardware (eg. CPU, RAM, HDD

CPU feature 'svm' not reported inside guest without 'host-passthrough'
Hi,
I am confused by the behaviour of the CPU description in my VM. I have a host with an AMD CPU with
SVM feature and I want to try nested virtualization on a Fedora22 guest. The host is Fedora22 as well.
libvirtd (libvirt) 1.2.13.1

I tried 'custom' mode with model qemu64 with required feature 'SVM' but '/proc/cpuinfo' in the guest

Trying to track down source of duplicate messages
Hi,
I haven't received any responses to my duplicate messages problem. It
occurred to me that I posted my full dovecot config instead of just
the changes we've made locally. I thought it might help to follow up
with just the specific config to make it easier to identify a
potential problem.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Dovecot sieve pigeonhole permission
Hello,
I'm running dovecot in a classical vmail.vmail setup with pigeonhole and
LMTP. Permission worked well in the initial setup but currently (maybe
after Fedora 22 update) I'm having the following permission issue:
lmtp(root): Error: 7fPZFOL9wFXePQAABcdabc: sieve: binary open: failed to

Trouble with expire plugin
Hi all,
Maybe someone here can help me with this problem, not sure if this is a
configuration issue or an actual bug.
my daily cron job says:

Outlook 2019 and IMAP
Hi,
We've just upgraded a few of our desktops to use Outlook 2019, and the
configuration is different from previous versions. There doesn't appear to
be any ability to specify a username in addition to the user's email
address.
The username is different than the username specified in the email address.
I had read about setting auth_username_format, but the user login name is

virt-install and kickstart networking
Hi,
I have a fedora22 host and trying to use virt-install to install a
fedora22 guest. The host is configured with bridge networking, using
eth0 as its local interface.
It appears the guest is communicating on vnet0 instead of eth0, so it
can never reach the outside to download the install files.
Where is vnet0 configured? Is it set by default when a bridge is created?
I have one other guest on

Problems with dsync and global acls
Hi all!
I have 2 servers running dsync tcp replication between them. After
setting global ACLs to

on both hosts, I get the following errors during replication for every
folder:

Question RE listescape and separators
Hello, we just start moving a large number of mailboxes to a new dovecot
server with dovecot 2.0.9 (from CentOS) and sdbox as mailbox type. We
use imapsync so there is no issue with mailbox type conversion.
However, in test runs I noted that some mail folders,e.g. with dots in
them, could not be transferred; dovecot says
Couldn't create folder [7.8) Personnel] from [7.8) Personnel]: 106

segfault / crash when asking for large memory via strrep()
We've had this more general topic on R-help, and also in R-devel recently.
There's one case here where I get the feeling R never gets into
swapping but more directly aborts possibly from a bug we can
more easily fix.
Today I've been working (successfully! - not yet committed) at
fixing str() for very large strings.
In this process, I've found that

Mappery inquiry
Last time I tried, a few years back, Wine was not yet up to
handling Garmin's proprietary topo map software. It would install, and
sometimes even work, so long as I didn't try to connect a GPS to it. (The
ones I have are all also Garmins -- old ones wanting a serial port.)
I made a huge effort, for most of a year, with a lot of help from
high-powered Alpha Plus Technoids on several
