Mail migration problem
I?m trying to migrate mdbox to maildir based on https://wiki.dovecot.org/Migration/MailFormat * Modified dovecot.conf and set mail_location=maildir:/tmp/destination/mailboxes/ * Then I had run /mnt/testmail/bin/dsync -Dv -u user at domain.com<mailto:user at domain.com> mirror mdbox:/source/mailboxes/user at domain.com<mailto:/source/mailboxes/user at domain.com> but that

Dovecot LMTP does not pass envelope recipient +detail to sieve
I found this[1] thread that describes the same problem with dovecot-LDA, but the solution (add X-Original-To: header) has no effect with LMTP. My sendmail LMTP configuration: FEATURE(`local_lmtp',`[IPC]',`FILE /var/run/dovecot/lmtp') Sendmail's address test indicates that sendmail is providing user+detail to LMTP (see below). Except for this problem, dovecot, LMTP, and sieve

permission denied errors with INDEX=MEMORY and trees plugin
I am using the trees[1] plugin to encrypt the mail on my disk. Because I don't want it to store any metadata in plaintext, I've also set INDEX=MEMORY in my mail_location configuration. However, whenever I get new mail I get errors like the following showing up in the journal: lmtp(john at octet.space)<21780><QDkrBqTXclwUVQAAQHGRUQ>: Error: Mailbox INBOX: Saving mail:

Sieve and multi-auth databases
Hello Community, I am currently facing the following: - dovecot+postfix+sieve are running smoothly using passwd-file authentication - if a add a second authentication scheme (let's say mysql), I face a problem with sieve: -- receiving thru postfix is ok on both passwd-file and mysql entries and correctly stored -- I am able to send from the server as before ** BUT sieve

[LLVMdev] Static Profiling - GSoC 2009
Hello all, I would like to participate in this year's Google Summer of Code and I am sending you a short description of my proposal. I have written the formal proposal already and if someone is interested I can send him the pdf. One of the open projects in the LLVM list is to enhance LLVM with static profiling capabilities. LLVM already provides a unified structure for writing pro

mail_location in userdb inconsistent with imap and pigeonhole
Hi! I'm still fighting with lost mails and what I think is a locking problem. As I've lost some pretty important mails already, I decided to mitigate my troubles by moving to maildir format, which should not be susceptible to these problems. I read the docs and wanted to test on my account, before I mess with all the others and possibly break something. The way to do it seems to be to

v2.3.3 rc1 - Error: sieve: !!BUG!!: Binary compiled from dovecot.sieve is still corrupt
Hi, Something mightily weird is going on at your end. It doesn't fail here (see below). First of all, what is your configuration (output from `dovecot -n`)? Also, can you make a hex dump of the binary (using `sieve-dump -h <your-script-binary>.svbin`). See below for an example at my end. Finally, can you try to explicitly delete the binary (preferably after preserving it

Pigeonhole/sieve possibly corrupting mails
Hi! I'm here again with a problem. I'm using dovecot as an IMAP server and LDA, filtering mail via sieve. However, few times a day I get the following error on server and my client (mutt) gets disconnected. MySQL server has gone away
I'm running 2.0.17 and I'm still seeing a decent amount of "MySQL server has gone away" errors, despite having multiple hosts defined in my auth userdb 'connect'. This is Debian Lenny 32-bit and I'm seeing the same thing with 2.0.16 on Debian Squeeze 64-bit. E.g.: Jan 12 20:30:33 auth-worker: Error: mysql: Query failed, retrying: MySQL server has gone away Our mail
