bug in acl_defaults_from_inbox option
Hi at all, there is a bug in in acl_defaults_from_inbox option: if you define it with ANY value ('yes', 'no', 'whatyouwant', 'xxx') it acts like the value is ALWAYS 'yes', and Dovecot enable it; the only way to disable it, is comment it or delete from configuration file. With 'acl_defaults_from_inbox = no', or 'acl_defaults_from_inbox =

dovecot 2.1.13, proxy and nologin extras field
Hi at all, in our test environment, I'm playing with dovecot 2.1.13 configured as imap/pop/managesieve proxy. It is configured to authenticate users with ldap and it works very well. Now, I'd like to temporary disable some users's login, because we are moving to another storage, and I wouldn't stop imap service at all. I've found on Dovecot wiki that I could use

ActionMailer - Message-id issue
Whenever I send e-mails through rails, part of the header comes out as follows: From: johndoe@domain1.com To: janedoe@domain2.com Message-Id: <442aba6514d50_154f7ba03530@iMac.local.tmail> With Outlook 2003 SP2''s new "anti-phishing" feature, it''s tagging all of these e-mails as junk. Migrating mailboxes
Hello everyone and Happy 2013! I have a situation -- the first ever I have come across -- which I don't understand. A friend was/is running Postfix and Dovecot - with default configs - nothing was ever changed :-) [root at mail home]# dovecot --version 0.99.11 Anyway, he had a problem with a user mailbox which I wasn't able to diagnose and fix easily. maillog showed: Jan 9 16:11:29

Set X-Original-To based an ORCPT?
Hi, to get a 'Delivered-to' header based on ORCPT, I wrote a patch (attached) to force Dovecot lmtp to advertise DSN after a LHLO command. In this way, Postfix add an ORCPT to the RCTP command (http://postfix.1071664.n5.nabble.com/pipe-flags-vs-lmtp-td11587.html#a11596). Be carefully: in this way DSN notification is broken, but they were broken in any case at the time I wrote the patch

Dovecot + SELinux permission problems
Hi, I have set-up dovecot on a F17 box and am encountering weirdnesses with SELinux (who isn't??). Again, I am trying to refrain from disabling SWLinux all together, however tempting, but am stuck in troubleshooting and hope for some ideas... With SELinux set to permissive, I can connect to dovecot and log in to access my mail as expected. With SELinux enforcing, I can connect to dovecot,

mail-trends+Dovecot
Hi, Out of curiosity, has anyone managed to use mail-trends[0] to analyse their e-mails. I thought about trying it out, but got stuck midstream. The mail-trends scripts work very well with gmail, but because they say it is supposed to work with _any_ IMAP server, I thought I could get it running with Dovecot too. I know this is NOT a mail-trends support group though, but I believe there is
