replication and spam removal ("doveadm expunge")
Hello everybody,
since now I did no replication and spam is delivered into users folder "spambox"
Every night there is a cronjob which deletes spam older than 30 days via something like
"find .... -ctime +30 -delete"
Now I'm going to set up replication (two way) and I thought that
doing "rm" is not a good idea.
So I modified the job to something like

Dovecot clustering with dsync-based replication
This document describes a design for a dsync-replicated Dovecot cluster.
This design can be used to build at least two different types of dsync
clusters, which are both described here. Ville has also drawn overview
pictures of these two setups, see
http://www.dovecot.org/img/dsync-director-replication.png and

First of all, why dsync

mail_debug=yes
is on on both ends and dovecot was restarted but anyway nothing is logged when I issue "doveadm -Dv expunge "
In the shell where I issue the "expunge" I see the following:
# /usr/bin/doveadm -Dv expunge

Dovecot replication not picking up new mail in maildir
I've got a basic dovecot master-master replication setup between two
servers (imap1 and imap2). Actions such as deleting messages or moving
them between folders are replicated correctly and quickly.
However, when new mail is delivered by postfix, replication does not
occur until something else triggers it, such as one of the delete/move
actions mentioned earlier. A search suggested this

dovecot-2.2.beta1: do not removes e-mail with enabled replication
Hello.
I'm created two installations of dovecot-2.2.beta1 with identical
config. Without replication each server works good. With replication
enabled every changes are replicated between these ones.
When I probe remove or move some email in another folder it is
disappears and reappears again and again in source folder and appears in
destination folder. Thus increasing number of letters like

Sieve replication - Debian 9.11 - Dovecot 2.2.7 - script changes not replicated
Hi,
I am trying to setup Sieve replication, it is almost working:
1/ Create a script - sync'd across
2/ Activate/de-activate a script - change sync'd
3/ Delete a script - change sync'd
But if I make a change to a script it is not replicated, unless I
de-activate and activate again.
I am seeing in the logs the below during this process
(de-activating/activating):

Replication and public folders with private (seen) flags
We started using Dovecot replication between two nodes and noticed that
our configured private flags (INDEXPVT) in public/shared mailboxes are
not replicated. We are only replicating INBOX namespace, as we dont want
to replicate content of shared mailboxes for every user again.
Is there a way to replicate the INDEXPVT or is that not (yet) implemented?

Dovecot replication, no updates on message deposit
Hi,
I am trying to setup dovecot replication based on:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication
All mailboxes share the same UNIX userid ('vmail'), and I setup ssh-key
based login for this account in both directions. As LDA exim4 is
configured to use dovecot deliver LDA. Here is the relevant config from
exim:

Dovecot 2.2 maildir replication issue
Hello,
I'm just trying to setup two mailservers with dovecot 2.2, postfix, mysql, postfixadmin where i would like to sync the maildirs between them;
I'm at the point where sending/receiving and qouta is working and try the maildir replication but it only creates the maildir directories (as example: /srv/vmail/test.domain/screenie/) on the second server but nothing inside the maildir is

sieve replication and .dovecot.lda-dupes
Hello list,
I have a replicated dovecot with two servers.
People seem to get vacation responses more often then it is specified in
"days: XX", depending on which dovecot instance they receive the
incoming mail. Is ".dovecot.lda-dupes" replicated?
The other problem is that the vacation response is coming from the wrong
address depending on which field the recipient was
