Virtual Mailboxes
My next bonehead maneuver - was more of the first! location = virtual:/var/mail/%%d/%%n/mdbox/mailboxes/virtual was adapted from my definition for my shared namespace. Which was intended to share OTHER users - which is why the '%%' prefixes are used. Changing to: location = virtual:/var/mail/%d/%n/mdbox/mailboxes/virtual Now I can actually view something! But I still have a

Shared Mailboxes with Multiple Domains
Trying to track down a problem I've been dealing with for a while. Everything else works fine - the problem is with shared mailboxes. My present, and desired, prefix for the shared namespace is: prefix = INBOX/shared/%%d/%%n/ Some mail clients, particularly Thunderbird and Android's AquaMail, have no problem with this. But other (presumably broken) clients don't show the shared

Virtual Mailboxes
Having some trouble with my first attempt at virtual mailboxes. ?I've enabled the plugin in 10-mail.conf, added a virtual namespace, and created the dovecot-virtual files in the folders. I see the folder names in the list when I refresh the folders available for subscription - but the folders cannot be subscribed to and I can't view their contents. ?What obvious mistake did I make?

Solr 6.4.1 config
Since I was recently asked off-list - thought I'd make this available if it will help anyone else. Attached is my (I hope) working 6.4.1 config. Also some instructions: First, you have to decide if you're running in standalone or cloud mode. Standalone is simpler, but I seem to be having better luck running in cloud mode - even though I'm only using a single

Updating Solr - was Disk space usage with mdbox
So with "fts_autoindex=yes" enabled in plugins, is there anything I should be running regularly, other than the expunge/purge, to ensure Solr indexes are updated? I have a daily Solr optimize, and Solr autocommit enabled. I have an hourly "doveadm index -A *" command - is that unneeded? -- Daniel On 4/12/2015 6:53 AM, Timo Sirainen wrote: > On 10 Apr 2015, at 21:55,

Solr 6.4.1
I've been running Solr for a while (4.10.3) - wanted to make the jump to the latest & greatest. I installed 6.4.1, copied over my schema.xml - and after a couple false starts where I needed to tweak it work with the new version...it works! I did not copy the database, started from scratch, and executed a "doveadm fts rescan -A". But... Judging solely from at least one

Yeah, thanks. It seems that there indeed is content-type header (there should not be). We'll look into it. I'm running Dovecot 2.3.4 with Single Instance Storage (SIS) and zlib and I am frequently seeing errors where files are missing in the attachments directory even though the zipped file in the hash directory is actually there.? This appears not to have been an issue in Dovecot 2.3.1 Requested output of the server below. The error looks like this in the log Dec 18 08:58:58 dovecot01

dsync mirror does not maintain changes between mailboxes
Hi, running: dsync -D -v -o mail_fsync=never mirror -R -f -u user at domain imapc: Where "domain" is a cyrus imap server does not do what the documentation says it does, not even close. After the first run to an empty mailbox on the dovecot 2.2.13 server all the mails (1.1GB) seem to be correctly synced. I send a test email to the dovecot server and it shows up correctly. Second

fts solr ignores new mailboxes until fts rescan
Hi Christian, may be the issue is related to this other post: http://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2015-September/102094.html Anyway, what I can tell you is that for every? user account,? for every folders created after the last doveadm fts rescan for that user, dovecot does not invoke indexer. A new rescan fix the problem for all the folders created up to that moment. I was wondering if I was
