dsync dovecot / Failed connection refused
Dear all,
I am using VMWare and I have cloned my emails server.
Now I do have two identicals servers, both running the same version of dovecot (2.2.13) and imap.
Let's call them: server1.domain.ltd and server2.domain.ltd.
I would like to sync both server using dsync.
Dovecot is working well except concerning the sync.
dsync config server1.domain.ltd

Hi Mike,
Is the value of the 'doveadm_port' if I am choosing: mail_replica =
tcp:server1.domain.ltd no ?
I might be wrong too ;)
Thx

Dovecot dsync 'ssl_client_ca'
Hello,
Still working with my dsync pb.
I have done a clone (vmware) of my email server.
Today I have two strictly identical emails servers (server1
(main) and server2 (bck) (except IP, hostname and mail_replica).
The ssl config on my both server:
ssl_protocols = !SSLv2 !SSLv3
ssl = required
verbose_ssl = no
ssl_key = </etc/ssl/private/private.key

dsync replication available for testing
In dovecot-2.1 hg you can now test dsync-based replication. Everything
isn't finished yet, but it appears to work and I've enabled it for my
@dovecot.fi mails. Some issues:
- public namespace isn't replicated at all
- shared namespace is replicated, but not private mail flags
- I've only tested SSH replication setup now, not director replication
setup (and director setup

Dsync config help
Hi,
I?m having a hard time with the?http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication
?page.
- for a master-master setup, does the configuration need to be mirrored on both masters?
- after aggregating unrelated sections of the wiki page, there seems to be 3 different values for ?mail_replica":
- "remote?: for SSH
- ?remoteprefix": for SSH wrapper
- ?tcp?: for?TCP connection using

dsync replication questions
I am running two servers with Dovecot v2.2.12 on CentOS x86_64 (5.10 and
6.5 respectively) and users are virtual over ldap.
I have setup our main internal server (vmail.example.com) with dsync
replication according to the first part of
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication. The second one
(vmail1.example.com) will be the failover server which we want to be a
real-time mirror (but can be

Dsync config help
I was able to workaround the ?Error: sync: /var/run/dovecot/auth-userdb: Configured passdbs don?t support credentials lookups (to see if user is proxied, because doveadm_port is set)? problem:?
=> I simply disabled ?doveadm_port? and added the port number at the end of the remote URL in ?mail_replica?
Replication seems to work although I have regular errors (idk if they are related to each

I am trying to setup replication with dovecot-2.2.29.1, and for some

Replication fails with "Remote dsync doesn't use compatible protocol"
I can't get replication to work in Dovecot 2.2.1. I'm getting the
following error on the machine where I'm initiating the replication:

Both the local and remote servers are running identical versions of
Dovecot (2.2.1), so I don't understand why I

Replication -- multiple users, three or more servers?
I'm running Dovecot 2.2.1 on an Ubuntu 12.04.2 server, with half a dozen
accounts for various family members. I want to set up replication
involving at least three Ubuntu servers, with different users replicated
on different sets of servers.
For example, I might have mail for "user1" replicated on "server1",
"server2", and "server3"...

multi sync (>2 servers) + selective sync + trigger
Hi all,
I've been researching ways to replicate mail across multiple mailstores and have a few questions.
Synching 2 mailstores (M1 & M2) via dsync works fine.
I want to add a 3rd and 4th (M3 & M4) server to also be synced.
Multi-sync (>2 servers):
1) How do I tell M1 and/or M2 to also sync to M3 and/or M4?
Selective sync:
2) How do I sync specific domains to specific

Replication fails with dsync-server(admin@asergis.com): Error: Couldn't create lock /home/admin/.dovecot-sync.lock: No such file or directory
Hello
I have configured replication using dsync. It fails with a message
Error: Couldn't create lock /home/admin/.dovecot-sync.lock: No such file
or directory
This directory predictably does not exist - all my users are supposed to
be virtual.? I can not find an option to switch this off. At the same
time if I try manual replication I get segfault error

My Dsync isn't replicating 'EXPUNGE' IMAP command
Hi!
I have two Dovecot-2.2.13 servers with Dsync Replication: server1 and
server2.
When I execute 'EXPUNGE' on server1 side, the messages with FLAG
\Deleted are expunged only on server1. The message is still present in
Server2.
Could someone give me a hint reason for this ?
Thanks in advance!
