need help with metadata plugin
Hello,
I've downloaded the metadata plugin from
http://hg.intevation.org/kolab/dovecot-metadata-plugin
compiled it without errors, made the entries as described in README
in dovecot.conf. Only ANNOTATEMORE or anything else additional
doesn't show up in the capabilties.
Is there anything wrong with my configuration?
What I see is:
telnet localhost 143

Fatal: lazy_expunge: Unknown namespace: '.EXPUNGED/'
Hello List,
with dovecot version 2.2.13.9, I actually have a problem using
lazy_expunge and acl together.
Shared/Public Folders work fine with lazy_expunge disabled.
If lazy_expunge is enabled and userA got a shared folder form userB,
then there is the error shown in subject.
My test case to reproduce the error.
doveadm mailbox list -u userA at domain
--> Output Fine.
doveadm acl set -u

Disabling Machine Account password change
Hello!
We have a school environment with Debian servers and Win2K clients.
There are about 700 clients and 30 servers. There is piece of hardware
installed on all clients the resets the changes made to the local disk
at reboot.
This seems to be a problem with Win2K changing machine account passwords
every 30 days (according to MSDN). The server saves the password, the
client resets it and domain

output data by date?
Dear Helpers,
I have a dataset X, with no missing values, everything is in order, R reads
it correctly, and I have already done some statistical analyses on the
dataset. The data are in order by date (six sampling dates in one year,
earliest to latest) and I now want to generate boxplots for each parameter
for each date.
However, R outputs the boxplots in some order that I do not understand (eg.

No error on change to password below configured length
Hello!
Our users change their passwords using the original Win2K password
change mechanisms (Ctrl+Alt+Del -> Change Password). If one of the users
changes his password and the new one is shorter then 5 characters it is
rejected. This appears in the logfile and that's OK so far but the users
don't get notified. They think the password has changed and use the new
one.
Why is that? Could

What exactly IS the winbind daemon?
Hi,
maybe this is a newbie-question, but ... here we go:
I read the documentation for winbindd several times now but didn't get
far. We run Samba as primary domain controller for several dozen
clients and over 3000 users and never used winbind, so my question is
quite simple:
What does winbind provide and when do i need it?
I assume that winbind is only used when i use samba as a client in

for parameter 'keep' in 'step'
Hello Lady or Sir,
I want to do model selection with 'step' function. But there is a trouble to
me.
For example, there are 5 independent variables, X0,X1,X2,X3 and X4; and 1
dependent variable y.
I want to run stepwise regression y ~ X0 + X1 + X2 + X3 + X4, and I want to
keep X0 always in the
model. Every time when I run command 'step' with 'keep', error information

Optimization problem with nonlinear constraint
Dear all,
I'm looking for a way to solve a simple optimization problem with a
nonlinear constraint. An example would be
max x s.t. y = x * T ^(x-1)
where y and T are known values.
optim() and constrOptim() do only allow for box or linear constraints,
so I did not succedd here. I also found hints to donlp2 but this does
not seem to be available anymore.
Any hints are welcome,

[SIEVE: Redirect] Double ">" in forwarded envelop sender address => Gmail syntax error
Hi,
Plateform: gentoo + qmail
My deliver line is in a .qmail-USER file:
|/var/qmail/bin/preline /usr/libexec/dovecot/deliver -f ${SENDER:-<>} -d
user at domain.tld
I notice that sieve implementation in Dovecot use double ">" for the
envelop sender when there is a redirect command in sieve script.
(i've tried preline -f, without -f ${SENDER:-<>},... but nothing

deliver rewrites envelop-sender
Hello,
we are currently using sendmail, procmail, uwimap and qpopper. We are
planing to replace uwimap and qpopper with dovecot. Which seems to be a
very good idea :-)
But: Sendmail and Procmail will not be replaced.
Now I've realized that deliver rewrites existing "From <....> ..."
header lines to ">From <...> ..." and adds it's own "From

playlist trouble
Hi all,
I'm running icecast and use ices to stream mp3's to the server. The user can
search a database with english audio files ( it's for schools, so nothing
fancy ) and then klick on a play-button ( Anhören ) to stream the selected
title . But no matter what file is selected I only get the first entry
in the playlist.
I use the builtin-playlist-handler.
You can test it

Large data sets and aggregation
I've noticed quite a few messages relating to large data sets bedeviling
R users, and having just had to program my way through one that actually
caused a "Bus error" when I tried to read it in, I'd like to ask two
questions.
1) Are there any facilities for aggregation of data in R?
( I admit that this will not do much for the large data set problem
immediately)
2) Is there any

stack overflow using step()
Hi,
I'm using step() for forward regression with 680 main effects and the

How can I specify the maximum size of the pointer protection stack when running
R not from command line but in an emacs-subwindow?
How can I perform these calculations when the maximum value

dovecot+LDAP/AD encoding issue
Hello everybody,
i have a problem with dovecot+Active Directory as Authentication-Service. I am not able to use special characters (???? (german umlaut)) within a password. Normally I would suggest that the ldap-query is done in UTF-8 but as I debugged the auth-process, I have seen that the password is ISO-8859-1 encoded.
The "original" query (from roundcube for example) is UTF-8

High Number of VMs
Hi, I''m curious about how you guys deal with big virtualization
installations. To this date we only dealt with a small number of VM''s
(~10)on not too big hardware (2xquad xeons+16GB ram). As I''m the
"storage guy" I find it quite convenient to present to the dom0s one
LUN per VM that makes live migration possible but without the cluster
file system or cLVM

web-based playlist manager
Before I went out to potentialy reinvent this particular wheel, I figured
I'd check to see whether anyone had or could recommend a web-based playlist
manager for ices/icecast. The one I've got in mind would take requests,
play random tracks in the absence of requests, keep a very limited history
and look-ahead...
This must have been done before, right? If not, I'll take a stab at

Replacing NAs with 0 for variables with the same ending
Dear all,
I'm looking for a way to replace NA's with 0 for a number of variables
which share the same ending and which constitute a subset of a data frame.
Say, for example, there is
> data <- data.frame(ax=c(1,2,3,NA,0) , bx=c(3,5,NA,5,1) ,
ay=c(5,NA,2,NA,0) , by=c(4,2,NA,2,1))
> data
ax bx ay by
1 1 3 5 4
2 2 5 NA 2
3 3 NA 2 NA
4 NA 5 NA 2
5 0 1 0 1
