Slow network performance issues
Hi,
I have a fedora21 system that's been running fine under normal network
activity, but trying to perform a full backup of the 300GB filesystem is
taking forever because the network speed appears to be very slow.
Using rsync, the transfer speeds reach a max of like 180kB/s. Using
rsync to copy files on the local filesystem is greater than 55MB/s, so I
don't think it's a disk

with mbox format doveadm ignores subfolders of inbox
Hello.
After we switched the format from mbox to mdbox on our dovecot
(version 2.1.9) servers last week, some of our users were missing the
subfolders of their inboxes. So far we thought that with the mbox
format it is not possible to have mail folders containing both
messages and subfolders. Now we know that there is one exception from
this rule: the inbox. With mbox format dovecot

Controlling IP addresses for services
Hi,
I'm using dovecot-2.2.15 on fedora21 and would like to configure pop3s
and imaps to only listen on localhost and internal addresses.
It seems the listen= parameter only supports ports, not IP addresses.
Is it possible to control which IPs the services listen on?
I'm also interested in knowing the differences between pop3-login and
just the pop3 service? Same with imap-login and imap?

IMAP Folder Mail Separator
Hi,
I have a fedora21 install with dovecot-2.2.18, and when creating a new
subfolder with thunderbird, the actual folder name is
"Folder1^Folder2" with a carat as a separator, instead of creating
Folder2 in the Folder1 directory.
Is this a thunderbird problem? I don't recall having this problem
prior to upgrading to fedora21, so thought maybe it's a dovecot
problem.
Maybe the

Any chance to access read-only mdboxes?
We would like to provide a self-service restore function to our users
using their IMAP client of choice..
Our idea was to use a snapshot (under ZFS, btrfs, whatever) and have it
available to the user in a namespace.
Unfortunately, but understandably, dovecot doesn't like the mdbox
structure to be read-only. Is there any chance to change that?
In the meantime, we could use a read-write

Re: Slow network performance issues
Is the rsync a first copy or are you overwriting a previous copy. How fast is the transfer rate with scp?

Dovecot doesn't seem to report all subfolders to Thunderbird
Hi,
I've recently migrated my emails from a Yahoo account to my own
mailserver on a VPS.
Ever since then, Thunderbird seems to have issues with the mailbox's
directory structure: When I start Thunderbird, it immediately deletes
the local copies of all 3rd-level folders (i.e. subfolders of a
subfolder of a folder in the mailbox root).
Since that didn't happen with the Yahoo account, I

Centos7 - Mate - Zombie printer icon remains after printing
Hello All,
I have the problem described in this bug:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1116756
It is also descibed in some detail here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1264811
After printing, the print icon stays in the system tray until I logout.
The bugzilla says there is a fix for Fedora21.
Does anybody know how to get this fixed for C7?
Thanks very much.

Subfolders with Thunderbird and maildir?
I setup a test dovecot-1.0-0.beta8.2.fc5 and left most of the settings
as the defaults. In Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 Windows, when I tried to create
a subfolder named "subfolder" under INBOX, it showed up as the same
level a INBOX and with the name "INBOX^subfolder".
I was able to manually create a subfolder using "mkdir

[LLVMdev] LLVM: how are pre-built binaries at http://llvm.org/releases/ built?
Hi,
I find the pre-built binaries at http://llvm.org/releases very useful.
Is there a script available anywhere that does the build, so that I can
get a binary built in the very same way, but for a platform not
included? (I would like llvm+clang for FC20, something like
http://llvm.org/releases/3.6.1/clang+llvm-3.6.1-x86_64-fedora21.tar.xz
but for FC20)
Thanks!

Centos DVD -
I have been trying to run Centos 6 and 7
in virtualbox on this Fedora23 computer.
Actually I also tried Scientific Linux
and a DVD copy of Fedora 21 XFCE Live
that I had on hand. The Fedora21 works
as expected but I seem to be missing
something in Centos and Scientific
Linux. They boot and run with a text
screen but startx reports "command not
found" and a ping to other than

output data by date?
Dear Helpers,
I have a dataset X, with no missing values, everything is in order, R reads
it correctly, and I have already done some statistical analyses on the
dataset. The data are in order by date (six sampling dates in one year,
earliest to latest) and I now want to generate boxplots for each parameter
for each date.
However, R outputs the boxplots in some order that I do not understand (eg.

pigeonhole/lda accessing -m folder
hi jost thx for the reply,
by access I mean to read the variable
require ["fileinto", "variables", "?destfolder?" ];
if anyof ( destfolder :matches "*") {
fileinto "${1}/subfolder";
}else{
fileinto "INBOX/subfolder";
}

No status for INBOX/* in mbox NS (2.1.6)
Maybe it's fixed, but the last "interesting" text in the Changelog was
before 2.1.6.
Most of our users still have mboxes in the classical layout, so you
can't have subfolders and messages in the same folder, *except for the
INBOX*, as it is physically separate.
Someone complained that he saw subfolders in roundcube he couldn't
delete, because they didn't show up in the

Re: oddity with lxc-enter-namespace
Hello
The latest attempts that I made on fedora21 all gave me the same result
I have tried
. vanilla rpm from f21 (1.2.9 IIRC)
. 1.2.14
. 1.2.13
. 1.2.12
these three ones I rebuilt from the source rpm published by libvirt
eventually I reworked my own tools to enter the container via ssh, so this is not an immediate concern to me any longer but it is definitely odd
I currently use 1.2.12
