Dict proxy client returning empty string instead of multiline string
Hello, I am using a dict proxy for my sieve extdata plugin to access some fields from an SQLite database (autoreply text and other database-configured items). All tests are performed against version 2.2.25. $ dovecot --version 2.2.25 (7be1766) My configuration looks like: dict { sieve = sqlite:/etc/dovecot/pigeonhole-sieve.dict } [...] sieve_extdata_dict_uri = proxy::sieve I

Dict proxy client returning empty string instead of multiline string
While trying to isolate properly and reproduce, I was able to trigger the same bug with the following code: struct dict *dict; char* dict_uri = "proxy::sieve"; char* key = "priv/key"; char* username = "admin at domain.tld"; char* value, error; dict_drivers_register_builtin(); dict_init(dict_uri, DICT_DATA_TYPE_STRING, username,

Dict client unescaping sieve script
I've created a dict service that listens on a unix socket and answers queries for sieve scripts (among other things). As I understand it (from the source code at http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-2.2/file/tip/src/lib-dict/dict-client.c), the dict client will unescape \001n, \001t, and \0011 to line feeds, tabs, and the \001 character respectively. In my service I am escaping those three

Oh duh, it used datastack pool. Try again with the attached patch? Please remember to clear the previous one out before trying. Hi! This does sound like a bug, we'll have look. Dict proxy client returning empty string instead of multiline string
Hi! Looking at the code, I think the bug is that it just copies pointer to the value, it should, instead, duplicate the value to some memory region. Can you see if this following patch fixes it? quota sql dict permissions dilemma
Hi! I'm trying to set up SQL based dict quota. The quota is working, gets updated but I had to configure really loose file permission to make it work: dovecot.conf: dict { quota = pgsql:/etc/dovecot/dovecot_dict-sql.conf } service dict { unix_listener dict { mode = 0660 group = vmail # sidenote: I noticed that writing the number equivalent # of 'vmail' here does not work.

Quota with dict backend - sql does not get registered
Hello everyone, I've been working with the quota plugin, attempting to use the dict backend. It seems the sql dict class is not getting loaded. I dropped a couple lines in dict_class_lookup(dict.c) and it seems the only class that gets loaded is "proxy". Any idea how to get the sql driver to load in the quota/dict module? My authentication goes through the sql module and is working

Acl sql dict error, dict crashes
Hi, I configured shared mailboxes and get an error when i use SQL as the acl_shared_dict. It works when i use a file instead. With SQL as the shared_dict, dict crashes. I have enabled sql query logs on the mariadb server, the table user_shares and anyone_shares are queried but there is no insert to the empty tables. The dovecot-acl files are created in the mailbox when i add an acl with

Dict SQL lookups without username_field
Dear all, Is it possible to perform dict lookups with a SQL backend, without specifying the username_field in the SQL query? I am using the dict to retrieve a Sieve script. My dict configuration looks like this: map { pattern = priv/sieve/data/$id table = sieve_scripts username_field = email value_field = data fields { id = $id } } I don't want to specify the username
