similar to: Search Public Folder

I'm trying to use doveadm fetch to search a folder that is public for all users. The command runs but the output is empty. There are no error messages. Is there anything different to do in order to search public folders? -- Bob Wooldridge EDM Incorporated http://www.edm-inc.com

Hi all, can I expunge or search emails in public folders? The command 'doveadm expunge -u rzimmermann mailbox Public/folder all' does not delete emails in the folder 'Public/folder'. The command 'doveadm expunge -u rzimmermann mailbox Spam all' does delete emails in the folder 'Spam'. The user rzimmermann has all rights in 'Public/folder'. Greets Ralf

Hello Mike and Aki, Thanks for the response. I had been using FETCH 1:* in my IMAP module, but found it slow with folders with lots of messages or even large-sized messages folder. The doveadm seems elegant and faster but I hate to fork a command line from web-UI, for obvious security and performance reasons. It will be great if dovecot team will consider IMAP extensions to release doveadm
