Need help with Replication
Hi! I set up two mail servers with Postfix and Dovecot and I would like to sync all mails between the servers. So I set up replication. Now I'm still getting the following errors: =======Server 1======= Sep 11 13:43:52 mx0 dovecot: master: Dovecot v2.1.7 starting up (core dumps disabled) Sep 11 13:43:52 mx0 dovecot: auth-worker(4245): mysql(127.0.0.1): Connected to database mailserver Sep

Issue with virtual folder: partially see them and cannot subscribe
You probably want to set subscriptions=no, so they will be done in the parent namespace instead. Can't get sieve/managedsieve working
Hi, I am running dovecot 2.1.7 for a while, with roundcube webmail frontend 0.9.5 . Now I wanted to add sieve to filter mails. Unfortunately most tutorials are for dovecot 1.x but I'm running dovecot 2 on debian wheezy. I could upload some scripst with sieve-connect, checked and activated them. When I try to edit filters with thunderbird sieve plugin 0.2.2 nothing happens. If I try to

auth service stops responding
Hi all, I am running postfix with dovecot configured for local mail delivery. Everything works as expected for a while, but after successfully delivering ~250 mails, dovecot does not accept requests anymore and mails start queueing up in the postfix mailqueue. After restarting dovecot, another ~250 mails are processed and the problem occurs again. The server is running ubuntu 18.04 with dovecot

Issue with virtual folder: partially see them and cannot subscribe
Also, thunderbird has a bug in subscription dialog that you need to collapse and expand the levels to see more levels. Can you check your subscriptions file that it gets added something? dovecot & iOS
Hello List, i have a working dovecot imap service running with multiple clients running fine, even iOS. What's anying is, that only on iOS ( ) i see a huge bunch of .CONTROL directories - marked grey. It seems to be a copy of the existing folder structure. I don't see this on thunderbird, outlook or even roundcube. Is there any chance to configure dovecot to hide those folders to

Mailfiles gets duplicated
Hello, With my configuration Dovecot creates multiple duplicates (sometimes 2, sometimes 3, sometimes a plenty) of mailfiles when moving them into the Sent or the Trash folders. This does not affect the Inbox folder. I observed this while using Thunderbird on Ubuntu as a client as well as K9-Mail on Android, therefore I expect this comes from the Dovecot server and not from the client

assertion failed in 1.1.7 file mbox-sync.c: line 1305 (mbox_sync_handle_eof_updates)
Dovecot 1.1.7 is running so smoothly that I gave up checking its log files daily. :) I've just had a look, and among the usual "IMAP(username): FETCH for mailbox Sent UID xx got too little data: xx vs xx" messages (that means that unfortunately sometimes some messages are still written truncated) I saw this assertion failure: file mbox-sync.c: line 1305

Issue on install - file mbox-sync.c: line 1371 (mbox_sync_handle_eof_updates): assertion failed: (trailer_size <= 2)
First of all apologies for using such an old version - I am trying to upgrade slowly and have had to go through this version first. As you can see I am getting an error in the log file as : file mbox-sync.c: line 1371 (mbox_sync_handle_eof_updates): assertion failed: (trailer_size <= 2) Raw backtrace: imap [0x80acdc1] -> imap [0x80accdc] -> imap(mbox_sync+0x14e9) [0x8079a29]

Large jumps in dovecot-uidlist
Since upgrading to Debian Wheezy I have been observing large jumps in the value stored in dovecot-uidlist. The effect of these jumps is to confuse some mail clients (Thunderbird, Opera Mail) causing them not to display messages from a (random?) point in time onwards in the affected folder. I have been unable to determine the root cause of these jumps. What I do know: 1. I never observed the

Has dovecot 2.1.1 been built and tested on AIX 6.1???
I have downloaded and built dovecot 2.1.1 using gcc on AIX 6.1. (The output of "dovecot -n" is at the bottom of this email.) I'm trying "baby steps" to get it up, before I give it the final configuration. (My apologies: I was pointed to RFC3501 and told to get an IMAP server, build it, configure it, and bring it up) What is currently occurring when I start dovecot is:
